DescriptionThe whole story▼
With a big four-stroke engine, the Suzuki RM-Z 450 produces plenty of engine braking, and many riders use the rear brake mainly for fine adjustments: settling the bike before a turn, controlling speed down a steep hill or holding a line in a rut. For the RM-Z 450 from 2005 to 2020 Accossato offers the AGPP106 rear pad in its Organic compound, SKU AGPP106OR. It suits hobby riders and veterans who want a soft rear brake that is easy to control with the boot.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato says its Organic compound keeps working for a long time and limits disc wear. At the rear of a 450 that is used mainly for fine adjustments, this makes sense. Controlled heat and dependable stopping power are part of Accossato's general design approach.
Fine Control with a Motocross Boot
A thick motocross boot does not give much feeling for the pedal. With a soft, progressive pad, small changes in pressure translate into small changes in braking, and the rear wheel is less likely to lock unexpectedly. On a 450 with strong engine braking this makes it easier to control the bike on steep downhills.
For veterans and hobby riders who ride regularly but not at the limit, the long life of the pad is an additional benefit.
Rear Brake Upkeep
Clean the rear caliper after each ride, check the pads for material and look at the disc for damage from stones. When fitting new pads, push the piston back slowly and pump the pedal until it is firm. Check the pedal pivot too: a stiff pivot makes fine control difficult, whatever pad is fitted.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPP106 for the rear of the RM-Z 450, 2005 to 2020. At the front, the RM-Z 450 uses AGPA51 from the same catalogue. One box fits the rear caliper.
Road Approval
AGPP106OR comes without an ABE or German approval in our records, and we sell it for competition use.
