DescriptionThe whole story▼

Zero's S is the plain, naked street model of the Californian electric range, and for its 2015 to 2017 editions Accossato catalogues the AGPA92 front pad. This listing is the Organic (OR) compound. A good number of these S models now live a second life as affordable electric commuters, bought used and ridden to the office every weekday. An organic pad is the natural partner for that routine, because it is quiet, easy to modulate and considerate to a disc that may already have a few years behind it.

Key Features

  • AGPA92 front pads for the Zero S, 2015 to 2017
  • Matches the ZF9.4, ZF12.5, ZF9.8 and ZF13.0 versions listed by Accossato
  • Organic (OR) formulation for commuting
  • Accossato claims longer performance with less disc wear
  • Soft initial bite that suits learners
  • Other mixes of this pad: ST, EV1, EV2, ZXC
  • Two pads per box, one caliper

Construction and Material Quality

Two things matter to Accossato when it talks about organic pads: they keep performing for longer, and they go easy on the disc. On an older naked electric bike that has seen thousands of commuting days, both points carry weight. The friction material wears itself rather than the rotor, so a worn set is replaced before the disc suffers. Accossato also stresses that its pads keep their temperature under control, and in city traffic an organic set rarely leaves its comfortable range.

A Second-Hand S as a Daily Commuter

Buying a used 2015 to 2017 Zero S is a popular way into electric riding. Before the first commute, it is worth giving the brakes a proper look: the pads, the disc surface, the fluid and the caliper pistons. Fitting fresh organic pads is an inexpensive way to restore a crisp, predictable lever. On the daily run, the organic compound works from the first junction without warming up, and its quiet manner suits a machine that glides almost silently past pedestrians. Riders returning to motorcycling after a long break often prefer this gentle, progressive response over a sharper compound.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPA92 for the front of the Zero S in four versions: ZF9.4 and ZF12.5 from 2015, and ZF9.8 and ZF13.0 from 2016 and 2017. The 2024 S with the ZF14.4 pack uses a different front pad, AGPA96. At the rear, Accossato offers AGPP91. Renew the pads of a caliper as a set and push the pistons back only once they have been wiped clean. Allow a few calm rides for the new organic pads to settle in.

Road Approval

Since no ABE or test certificate has been provided to us, we offer these organic pads for racing and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

Two organic front pads, which refit one caliper.
