DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Yamaha Niken is one of the most unusual machines on the road: a leaning three-wheeler with two front wheels and a three-cylinder engine, built from 2018 to 2024. Many owners use it as a comfortable, confident everyday bike and touring machine rather than a sports tool. For them, Accossato lists the AGPA97OR front pad in the Organic (OR) compound, a choice for calm, regular riding with a front brake that is quiet, works from cold and looks after the discs.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Yamaha Niken, model years 2018 to 2024
- Article AGPA97OR, organic compound on the AGPA97 plate
- Accossato: longer-lasting performance and reduced disc wear
- Suited to calm everyday riding and relaxed trips
- Two pads per box, one set for one caliper
- Two front wheels: count the calipers before ordering
- The plate is also made in ST, EV1, EV2 and ZXC
- No German ABE on file; offered for track and competition
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato uses its organic compound on the AGPA97 plate for this article. The company says the material gives longer performance and limits wear on the disc. On a Niken, where the front end has more hardware than a conventional bike, keeping disc wear low is a practical benefit. Accossato's broader promise of limited heat and reduced fade also applies.
Two Front Wheels, More to Check
The Niken's front end is its signature feature, and it means more brake components to look after than on a two-wheeler. Each front wheel has its own brake, so a pad change involves more calipers, and it is important to renew all front pads together so that braking stays balanced between the wheels. Take the job slowly: clean each caliper, check that every piston moves freely, and inspect both discs on each side. If you are unsure about working on the Niken's front end, have a workshop familiar with the model do it. Once done, organic pads provide a smooth, quiet response that suits the bike's relaxed character.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPA97 for the front of the Yamaha Niken from 2018 to 2024; its data names no rear pad for this model. Because the Niken has two front wheels, each with its own brake, count the calipers and order one box per caliper. Clean the pistons before pressing them back, check the discs and replace old fluid. Accossato also lists the DK077 and DKS073 discs for the Niken. Pump the lever until firm after fitting.
Road Approval
No German ABE, test report or approval mark exists in our files for this pad. The AGPA97OR is therefore offered for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
One box of two Accossato AGPA97 pads in Organic (OR) compound, one set for a single front caliper of the Niken.
