DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Moto Guzzi V7 II Scrambler 750 of 2016 wrapped the V7's easy-going air-cooled twin in scrambler styling with wire wheels, and most owners use it as a light, characterful town bike. For that life Accossato offers front pad AGPA96 in the Organic (OR) compound, which gives soft, silent stops and wears the disc only slowly. Accossato lists it for the V7 II 750 Scrambler, model year 2016.

Key Features

  • Organic (OR) front pads for the Moto Guzzi V7 II Scrambler 750
  • Listed by Accossato for the 2016 model year
  • Long service with low disc wear, according to the maker
  • Soft, progressive feel at city speeds
  • Silent at traffic lights
  • Two pads, one caliper, one box
  • No German ABE; competition use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato positions OR as its long-life, disc-saving compound. In the city, where a scrambler spends most of its time, the front brake is used every few hundred metres, rarely hard and often with cold pads. A lining that reacts smoothly from the first touch suits that pattern well and keeps squeal at bay. Accossato's general claims of solid stopping power, controlled heating and resistance to fade apply here as well.

An Urban Scrambler

Scramblers look ready for the dirt but mostly roam city streets, hopping kerbs to park and threading between delivery vans. On the V7 II Scrambler, the single front disc does all the front-brake work in these conditions, and an organic pad keeps it smooth and gentle on the rotor. Accossato also offers AGPA96 in Sintered (ST), EV1, EV2 and ZXC.

If the Scrambler does ride dusty lanes now and then, rinse the front caliper afterwards and clean the pistons carefully at the next pad change.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato catalogues AGPA96 for the V7 II 750 Scrambler of 2016. With a single front disc, one box supplies the whole front brake. For the rear, Accossato lists AGPA28 for the same model year. Other V7 II versions, such as the Stone or the Special of the same era, are not part of this listing, so check the exact model on your registration papers before ordering. When you fit the pads, clean the pistons, look at the disc for grooves and pump the lever until it is firm again.

Road Approval

No German ABE or approval certificate for this pad has been supplied to us; it is offered for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

One box of two AGPA96 front pads in the Organic (OR) compound.
