DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Kawasaki KX65 has been the first proper motocross bike for generations of young riders, and Kawasaki has kept it in production for a remarkably long time. Accossato's AGPA169 front pad in the Organic mixture is listed for the KX65 from 2000 to 2026. It is the only compound Accossato offers on this plate, and it suits the way the bike is used: by young riders learning to brake with confidence at training tracks and club races.
Key Features
- Front pads AGPA169 for the Kawasaki KX65, 2000 to 2026
- Organic mixture, SKU AGPA169OR
- Accossato: long wear, low disc wear
- Gentle, progressive lever for small hands
- Suits youth training and club racing
- Only compound offered on this plate
- No ABE on file; competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes this compound as long-lasting and easy on the disc. On a KX65, where parents usually handle maintenance and budgets matter, that combination makes sense: the pads last a good while, and the front disc does not wear out quickly. Accossato also designs its pads to limit heat and fade while stopping firmly. The organic material is bonded to the standard AGPA169 plate.
Teaching Young Riders to Brake
For a young rider on a KX65, learning to use the front brake is one of the biggest steps. Too much, and the front wheel tucks; too little, and the bike overshoots the corner. A gentle, progressive pad helps them find the right amount of pressure without frightening surprises.
Parents doing the maintenance should check the pad thickness regularly, since youth bikes are often ridden hard and cleaned less often than they should be. Clean the caliper after each muddy session, check the fluid and make sure the lever is adjusted so that small hands can reach it comfortably.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA169 for the front of the Kawasaki KX65 from 2000 to 2026. The rear pad for the same years is AGPA88, and Accossato's disc for the KX65 is DK266. One box contains the set for the single front caliper. Compare your old pads with the new ones before fitting, as a long production run can include small changes.
Road Approval
We hold no ABE or German test certificate for AGPA169OR. It is sold for competition use.
