DescriptionThe whole story▼

Accossato also makes the AGPP91 rear pad for the Zero FXE ZF7.2 of 2022 in its off-road sintered compound, STMX. The FXE is a street-focused bike, yet some owners take it onto gravel paths, farm tracks or dusty urban wasteland for a bit of fun. For riders who leave the tarmac regularly, STMX is the mixture Accossato makes for off-road use, where mud, sand and water attack the brake.

Key Features

  • AGPP91 rear pads for the Zero FXE 2022 (ZF7.2)
  • STMX compound for off-road riding
  • Accossato's mixture for riders on dirt
  • Meant for gravel, dust and wet ruts
  • Rear control on loose surfaces
  • Other versions of this pad: OR and ST
  • Two pads for the rear caliper

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes STMX simply as its compound for off-road riders. The formulation is designed to cope with contamination from dirt and water, conditions in which a street pad might glaze or wear unevenly. Accossato, founded in 1969 in Moncalieri near Turin, applies its usual aims of slow wear and controlled heat to this mix too.

Gravel Paths and Dusty Tracks

On loose ground, the rear brake helps you control speed on a descent and swing the FXE around tight turns. Sand and dust get into the caliper quickly, and the pad has to cope with grit between itself and the disc. After such a ride, wash the rear brake with clean water, let it dry and check the pad thickness, because abrasive dirt wears friction material faster than tarmac. If you ride through puddles or shallow water, drag the brake lightly afterwards to dry the disc before the next stop.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPP91 for the rear caliper of the Zero FXE ZF7.2, 2022. The front pad for the FXE is AGPA92. Replace both rear pads together and inspect the disc for scoring before fitting. A disc that has been ground down by grit should be measured and replaced if it is below the minimum thickness stamped on it. Clean the caliper piston before pushing it back, since dust caked around the seal is easily forced inside. After fitting, pump the pedal until it is firm and take a few slow stops on a quiet stretch of tarmac before heading back onto the gravel.

Road Approval

We hold no ABE or test paperwork for these pads, so they are offered for off-road sport and competition.

Scope of Delivery
