DescriptionThe whole story▼

Mud clogging the wheel, sand scouring the rotor and a river crossing halfway round the lap: these are the conditions the Off-road sintered (STMX) version of the Accossato AGPA110 was made for. It fits the front of the Yamaha YZ250F from 2007 to 2020 and is meant for riders whose weekends end with a pressure washer. Accossato describes the STMX quite simply as its compound for off-road riders, and on a motocross bike that is exactly where it belongs.

Key Features

  • Front brake pads for the Yamaha YZ250F, 2007 to 2020 model years
  • AGPA110 outline in Accossato's STMX off-road compound, code AGPA110STMX
  • Developed by Accossato specifically for off-road riding
  • Suited to mud, sand, dust and water crossings
  • Two pads in the box, one set for the front caliper
  • OR and ST versions are listed for the same pad shape
  • No German ABE on file; for competition and off-road use

Construction and Material Quality

STMX is the off-road member of Accossato's family of friction materials. The manufacturer does not elaborate beyond calling it the compound for off-road riders, but the purpose is clear: dirt, water and abrasive particles are part of everyday life for these pads. Like the rest of the range, the STMX is built for long wear, resistance to fading and strong stopping power. Accossato has been making motorcycle parts since 1969 and started out near Turin, where the company is still based today.

After the Race: Cleaning Day

The work does not end at the chequered flag. Mud packed around a caliper holds water and grit against the pads and pistons for days, so rinse the front brake thoroughly after every muddy outing and let it dry. Do not blast the caliper seals directly with the pressure washer. When the pads come out for inspection, brush the pad slots clean and look for uneven wear. A YZ250F that lives in the dirt benefits from this routine far more than from any change of compound.

Sand and Deep Ruts

On sandy tracks the front brake is used differently: shorter, sharper stops before soft berms and constant fine control in deep ruts. Grit works its way between pad and disc, and a material designed for that abrasion keeps behaving normally. If most of your riding is on dry hard-pack, the ST version may be enough, and the OR is the gentler option for practice.

Fitment and Compatibility

The AGPA110 fits the front brake of the Yamaha YZ250F from 2007 to 2020. From 2020 to 2026 Accossato lists the AGPA288 for the front, so confirm your model year before buying. The rear pad for the YZ250F is the AGPP106, listed for 2003 to 2026, and Accossato offers the DK111, DK168, DK268 and DK269 discs for the model.

Road Approval

No test certificate or German ABE is available to us for this pad. We supply it for off-road competition and closed tracks.

Scope of Delivery

Two front pads in the STMX compound in one box, one set for the single caliper of the YZ250F.
