DescriptionThe whole story▼
Not every Triumph Thunderbird is ridden slowly. Some owners enjoy hustling the big twin along a winding road, and a few even take it to a trackday to see what a cruiser can do. For that kind of rider, Accossato offers the front pad AGPA58 in its EV1 street/track compound, listed for the Thunderbird range from 2009 to 2018. AGPA58EV1 gives a stronger, more immediate bite than the touring pads, while staying usable on the road.

- No approval papers; sold for competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato positions EV1 street/track as a compound with a lot of grip for road riding that can also cope with amateur circuit sessions. On a heavy cruiser such as the Thunderbird, a pad with strong initial bite helps when you ride briskly and brake late into bends. As with its other compounds, Accossato aims for limited heat to reduce fade and for good durability.
A Sporting Cruiser
The Thunderbird has a big, torquey engine that encourages brisk riding out of corners. When you ride it that way, the front brake has to cope with a lot of mass arriving at each bend. EV1 is meant for exactly this ambitious road rider: someone who uses more of the brake, more often. If you do take the bike to a trackday, prepare carefully: fresh fluid, clean discs, and pads that have been bedded in before the first session.
Feeling the Difference
A sharper pad needs a smoother hand. Build pressure progressively and release gently as you turn in, particularly on a long, heavy bike.
Fitment and Compatibility
The listing for AGPA58 at the front runs from 2009 to 2018 for the Thunderbird 1600, while the larger 1700 versions named Commander, LT and Nightstorm appear from 2014 onwards to 2018. AGPA92 is the matching rear pad. One box supplies one caliper; check how many calipers are fitted at the front of your Thunderbird. Replace pads per axle and clean the pistons before pushing them back.
Road Approval
AGPA58EV1 has no German ABE and no test mark in our documents. We sell it for motorsport use.
