DescriptionThe whole story▼
A visor shaped by AGV's racing heritage and refined for the road, the 50% light tint shield for the K6 S and K6 helmets strikes a precise balance between sun protection and all-day wearability. Its warm amber-bronze tint reduces glare without closing off the world around you, while optical Class 1 clarity ensures the view through it is as honest as open air.
Key Features
- 50% tint level — cuts solar glare effectively while remaining bright enough for full daytime riding in all conditions
- Optical Class 1 certification — zero distortion across the entire lens surface for fatigue-free vision on long runs
- Panoramic field of view: 190° horizontal and 85° vertical — wider than most rivals and true to AGV's track-derived design philosophy
- Up to 4.3 mm material thickness — engineered for high-impact resistance and structural integrity
- Scratch-resistant coating and full UV protection — preserving optical quality and rider comfort over the long term
- Max Pinlock ready — posts are built in, so adding an anti-fog insert (sold separately) is a two-second job
- ECE 22.06 homologated — meets the current highest European road-legal safety standard
Design, Finish and Heritage
AGV has been building race-winning helmets since the 1940s, and every accessory that leaves the factory carries that obsession with optics and aerodynamics. The K6 S and K6 visor family reflects this directly: the curvature is calculated to minimise optical aberration at all viewing angles, the tint is applied evenly across the lens so there are no hot spots or gradients, and the finish has a clean, purposeful look that suits the aggressive lines of both helmet shells. The 50% light tint sits in AGV's range as the go-to choice for riders who want a single visor that handles bright mornings, open motorways and sun-drenched track days without reaching for the clear alternative.
On the Road
Whether you are commuting through a low-sun winter morning, touring across southern Europe or pushing hard on a race circuit at midday, this visor manages light intake without compromising situational awareness. The wide panoramic aperture means peripheral vision is unobstructed, and the Class 1 optics ensure road markings, hazards and signage read sharply rather than swimming in tint-induced distortion. The scratch-resistant surface and UV barrier also mean it ages well — repeated cleaning and extended sun exposure will not degrade the optical quality you paid for.
Fitting and Care
The visor clicks into the K6 S and K6 helmet using AGV's quick-release mechanism, requiring no tools and taking only a few seconds to swap. When cleaning, use a soft microfibre cloth and a dedicated visor cleaner — avoid abrasive materials, glass cleaners and any solvent-based products. If you want fog-free performance in cold or wet conditions, the Pinlock Max insert fits directly onto the pre-installed posts and is available separately.
Important: this visor is designed exclusively for daytime use and must not be worn at night.
