Braking is where lap time is made and confidence is built, and it deserves the same attention as engine or suspension tuning. Pads are defined by their compound: street-oriented sintered pads offer strong cold bite and long life, while dedicated race compounds need temperature to work but reward you with a firmer, more consistent lever under repeated hard stops. For discs, check diameter, thickness and whether a floating rotor suits your use, and above all confirm the exact fitment for your model and year. With master cylinders, piston bore and lever ratio determine feel: a radial unit with the right sizing gives finer modulation at the limit rather than simply more power.
