How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head (not too low on the neck). The tape may run slightly at an angle – what matters is that it sits all the way around the largest points of the head.
Make sure the tape measure sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat (e.g. do not measure over a voluminous hairstyle)
- Keep the tape horizontal, i.e. along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model / fit)
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

Trax is the sharpest graphic in the Dragon range — hard angular blocks that follow the shell's aerodynamic lines rather than fighting them. In this version a deep royal blue does the heavy lifting, with white and red picking out the edges.
The LS2 FF807 Dragon is a full-face sport-touring helmet built entirely from 6K carbon fibre, weighing roughly 1,450 g (±50 g) and carrying a drop-down internal sun visor — a combination that is rare at this weight. It is homologated to ECE 22.06 and rated 4 stars by SHARP, the UK government's independent helmet-testing programme.
Key Features
- Full 6K carbon shell — approx. 1,450 g (±50 g), in three shell sizes across 2XS–3XL
- ECE 22.06 homologation · 4-star SHARP safety rating
- Twin Visor System — integrated drop-down sun visor plus the main visor
- Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ insert included, plus a second tinted visor in the box
- Tool-free quick-release visor change with a visor button lock
- Double D-ring on a reinforced strap · Emergency Release System · multi-density EPS
- Carbon chin, top and exhaust vents feeding channelled EPS, plus a breath deflector
- X-Static® silver antibacterial liner — removable, washable, laser-cut
- Prepared for the new LS2 Bluetooth intercom · reflective safety patch
Shell and Safety
The Dragon's case for itself starts with material. The shell is 6K carbon fibre end to end, and the resulting weight — around 1,450 g (±50 g) — is genuinely low for a full-face helmet with a built-in sun visor. Impact energy is managed by a multi-density EPS liner whose firmness changes across the helmet rather than staying uniform. Three shell sizes span 2XS to 3XL. The helmet meets ECE 22.06, the current European standard, and carries a 4-star SHARP rating from independent testing.
Twin Visor System and Optics
The Dragon uses LS2's Twin Visor System: a clear main visor plus a drop-down internal sun visor that deploys in a fraction of a second when the sun comes out. The main visor is scratch- and UV-resistant, comes Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ ready with the insert included, and swaps out through a quick-release mechanism — no tools. A visor button lock keeps it shut at speed. LS2 also puts a second, tinted visor in the box, so bright-day riding is covered without a separate purchase.
Ventilation
The Dragon's airflow path is deliberately simple: chin and top intakes in carbon feed channels cut into the EPS liner, and warm air exits through the carbon exhaust port behind the spoiler. Channelling the EPS is the part that makes the difference — without it, air entering the top vents has nowhere useful to go. LS2 also fits a breath deflector, which cuts the amount of exhaled moisture reaching the visor in the first place.
An Honest Word Before You Buy
Some clarity, because it matters more than another paragraph of praise. The Dragon is a road helmet with ECE 22.06 approval. It carries no FIM homologation and therefore cannot be used in FIM-governed racing, where FRHPhe certification is mandatory — our FF805 Thunder GP Pro FIM covers that case. Separately: the tinted visor in the box is for daylight. In most of Europe a tinted visor is not permitted at night or in reduced visibility, so it is a sunny-day item, not a permanent fit.
Fit, Interior and Comfort
Expect an intermediate oval shape — LS2's own classification, and the one that fits most riders in Europe. The interior is built around X-Static® silver-fibre fabric, hypoallergenic and antibacterial, and it lifts out completely for washing. Laser-cut foam gives a smoother, more consistent surface against the skin than conventionally cut padding. Testers consistently describe the Dragon as snug and enveloping from new, with a close neck roll — comfortable for long days once the pads have taken your shape.
Retention and Emergency Access
The Dragon fastens with a double D-ring on a reinforced chin strap — the closure used in racing because it cannot loosen progressively the way a ratchet occasionally can. It also carries an Emergency Release System: pull tabs let first responders draw the cheek pads out and remove the helmet without twisting the neck. A reflective safety patch on the shell adds passive visibility after dark.
Intercom Ready
Fitting communications is straightforward: the shell and liner are designed around the new LS2 Bluetooth system, with dedicated speaker pockets and cable channels already in place. That means no cutting into foam and no speaker pressing on your ear at hour three of a ride.
The Trax Gloss Blue finish
A saturated royal blue dominates the crown and spoiler, laid over exposed carbon with fine white and red pinstripes tracing the panel breaks. It is a bold, sport-oriented look that reads clearly from a distance, and the blue is deep rather than pastel — it sits comfortably alongside blue-and-white bikes without trying to match them exactly. The gloss lacquer gives the blue noticeable depth in direct sun.
Finding Your Size
The Dragon runs from 2XS to 3XL across three shell sizes (2XS–S / M–L / XL–3XL). Measure your head circumference with a soft tape roughly 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, around the widest part of the skull, and compare it against the size chart linked on this page. Between two sizes, take the larger one — the Dragon fits close from new and the padding beds down with use.
Approved Use
The LS2 FF807 Dragon is a unisex full-face helmet homologated to ECE 22.06 and road-legal throughout ECE markets. It is intended for sport, sport-touring and everyday road riding. The clear main visor is the road-legal screen; the supplied tinted visor is for daylight use.
