How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head (not too low on the neck). The tape may run slightly at an angle – what matters is that it sits all the way around the largest points of the head.
Make sure the tape measure sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat (e.g. do not measure over a voluminous hairstyle)
- Keep the tape horizontal, i.e. along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model / fit)
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

High-visibility yellow is not a styling choice so much as a safety one — and the Trax graphic makes it look like it was always meant to be there. This is the Dragon for riders who commute in traffic, ride in poor light, or simply want to be seen first and admired second.
The LS2 FF807 Dragon is a full-face sport-touring helmet built entirely from 6K carbon fibre, weighing roughly 1,450 g (±50 g) and carrying a drop-down internal sun visor — a combination that is rare at this weight. It is homologated to ECE 22.06 and rated 4 stars by SHARP, the UK government's independent helmet-testing programme.
Key Features
- Full 6K carbon shell — approx. 1,450 g (±50 g), in three shell sizes across 2XS–3XL
- ECE 22.06 homologation · 4-star SHARP safety rating
- Twin Visor System — integrated drop-down sun visor plus the main visor
- Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ insert included, plus a second tinted visor in the box
- Tool-free quick-release visor change with a visor button lock
- Double D-ring on a reinforced strap · Emergency Release System · multi-density EPS
- Carbon chin, top and exhaust vents feeding channelled EPS, plus a breath deflector
- X-Static® silver antibacterial liner — removable, washable, laser-cut
- Prepared for the new LS2 Bluetooth intercom · reflective safety patch
Shell and Safety
Everything about the Dragon's weight comes back to the shell. It is 6K carbon throughout — a genuine carbon structure, not a cosmetic layer — which is what allows a helmet carrying a drop-down sun visor to still weigh in around 1,450 g (±50 g). The energy management underneath is handled by a multi-density EPS liner that varies its firmness by zone instead of applying a single compromise value. LS2 moulds three separate shells across the 2XS–3XL range so the outer proportions stay right at every size. Certification is ECE 22.06, and SHARP awarded the helmet 4 stars out of 5.
Twin Visor System and Optics
Two visors, one shell. The Dragon's Twin Visor System combines the clear main screen with an internal drop-down sun visor that answers low sun immediately instead of at the next fuel stop. The outer visor resists scratching and blocks UV, holds closed via a visor button lock, and comes off through a tool-free quick-release. The Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ insert is included rather than optional — 120 is Pinlock's highest anti-fog grade — and LS2 adds a tinted visor to the box as well.
Ventilation
Ventilation runs front to back: carbon chin and top vents in, carbon exhaust port out, with channelled EPS in between so the air has a defined route across the head. The breath deflector behind the chin bar handles the other half of the problem, keeping exhaled air off the visor. Note that we do not quote a ventilation score for this helmet — no independent test publishes one, and we would rather say nothing than invent a number.
An Honest Word Before You Buy
Two things are worth knowing up front. First, the Dragon is ECE 22.06 road homologated only — it is not a FIM-homologated race helmet, so it will not pass technical control at events that require FRHPhe certification. If you race under FIM rules, look at the FF805 Thunder GP Pro FIM instead. Second, the tinted visor supplied in the box is for daylight use; tinted visors are not road-legal at night or in poor visibility in most European countries. Neither point is a fault — the Dragon does exactly what it claims — but both are easier to know now than after the parcel arrives.
Fit, Interior and Comfort
Head shape is intermediate oval, the most common European profile. Inside, the fabric is X-Static® silver-treated: silver is naturally antibacterial, so the liner resists the smell that builds up in a helmet worn daily instead of simply covering it. The whole interior is removable, machine-washable and breathable, and the foam is laser-cut for a flatter, more even contact patch. Independent road testers describe the fit as enveloping and close at the neck roll — firm out of the box, comfortable for all-day wear once bedded in.
Retention and Emergency Access
A reinforced chin strap with a double D-ring closes the helmet — the same system mandated in most forms of racing, chosen for its resistance to slipping under load. Should the worst happen, the Emergency Release System allows the cheek pads to be pulled out from the outside so the helmet can come off without the head being rotated. There is a reflective patch on the shell as well, working quietly in headlights.
Intercom Ready
Comms were designed in, not added on. The liner carries purpose-made speaker pockets and cable routing for the new LS2 Bluetooth intercom, so the unit fits without modification and without the flush-mount speakers digging in over distance.
The Trax Hi-Vis Yellow finish
Fluorescent yellow covers the upper shell and spoiler in the angular Trax pattern, with the carbon weave left exposed below. Fluo yellow is among the most conspicuous colours to the human eye across the full range of daylight, and it holds that advantage into dusk and overcast weather far better than white does. On this helmet it is paired with the reflective safety patch LS2 fits as standard — so the visibility argument carries into the dark as well.
Finding Your Size
The Dragon runs from 2XS to 3XL across three shell sizes (2XS–S / M–L / XL–3XL). Measure your head circumference with a soft tape roughly 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, around the widest part of the skull, and compare it against the size chart linked on this page. Between two sizes, take the larger one — the Dragon fits close from new and the padding beds down with use.
Approved Use
The LS2 FF807 Dragon is a unisex full-face helmet homologated to ECE 22.06 and road-legal throughout ECE markets. It is intended for sport, sport-touring and everyday road riding. The clear main visor is the road-legal screen; the supplied tinted visor is for daylight use.
