DescriptionThe whole story▼
Zero Pro is the X.LIFETOUR reduced to its shell: exposed 3K weave, no graphic over it. It sits at the top of the range because a finish with nothing on it has to be flawless underneath.
Three SHARP stars — and the 50 % you should know about
Nexx has one helmet in SHARP's database and this is it: 3 stars out of 5, tested April 2026 under ECE 22.06 at 1.8 kg, with the face guard fully locked in 50 % of impacts.
🔵 No other Nexx model — the X.TR, the X.WST3, the X.RALLY, the X.WED3 — has been tested at all. An absent rating is untested, not poorly rated; this one is neither.
About the Zero Pro Carbon finish
A painted shell can hide small cosmetic imperfections in the layup; an exposed-weave one cannot, which is why bare-carbon versions of any helmet cost more than painted ones built on the identical shell. What you pay for is the quality of the surface rather than extra material. The consequence is repairability: a deep scratch through the lacquer into exposed weave is permanent, where paint can be touched in — and a flip-up is handled at every stop. 🔵 It is also the least conspicuous version here, because carbon reads as very dark grey in every light condition that matters.
P/J homologation and the Super Locker chin bar
The chin bar opens on an easy-access button with a safety mechanism against accidental opening, and the Super Locker pivot holds it stably when raised rather than letting it drift.
🔵 The helmet is P/J homologated in both positions. SHARP's face-guard lock figure of 50 % is covered honestly elsewhere on this page.
The X-PRO Carbon 3K shell
🔵 An independent road test weighed a size M of this carbon shell at 1860 g — more than the 1750 g claim and more than SHARP's 1.8 kg example. Flip-ups are heavy, and this one is at the heavier end even in carbon.
Two outer shell sizes cover XS to XXXL; the construction is X-PRO Carbon 3K.
96 decibels — the Silent Travel Seal
Noise fatigue is cumulative over a riding day in a way a single measurement cannot convey, and a few decibels is a larger difference than it sounds — 3 dB is a doubling of sound energy.
🔵 At 96 dB the X.LIFETOUR measured 5–7 dB below the rest of Nexx's range, which over a six-hour day is a substantial difference.
X-Sensus Vision, X-SWIFT and two visors
The aperture is where a flip-up usually compromises, because the chin bar has to clear it when raised. Nexx went the other way here: 15 % larger than the standard requires, which is a deliberate design priority rather than an accident of packaging.
🔵 The visor changes tool-free and carries a fitted Pinlock 70 MaxVision lens.
Two closable intakes and two air chambers
The complete ventilation specification: two closable intakes, two exhausts, the patent-pending Mid Airflow Chamber circulating air around the head, and the Air Cumbs crown pad opening a fresh-air chamber.
🔵 On a helmet sealed this thoroughly for quiet, the closable intakes are as useful in reverse — shut for winter, open for summer.
Morpho-Fit interior and F.R.S.
A 3D-shaped seamless liner is the most expensive way to build a helmet interior and the most comfortable over distance. Nexx calls it Morpho-Fit, and it is the reason this helmet is pleasant at hour six rather than merely at hour one.
🔵 It is fully removable and washable, and the cheek pads release through F.R.S. without tools.
1750 claimed, 1860 measured
🔵 Manufacturer helmet weights are quoted for a specific size, usually the smallest in the shell, and often without the accessories a customer receives. The 1860 g measurement was a size M — the middle of the range.
SHARP's separately tested example weighed 1.8 kg. Treat 1.8–1.9 kg as the realistic figure.
Where it sits in Nexx's range
Nexx's range splits by shell material and by category. The X.LIFETOUR is the touring flip-up; the X.LIFECOUNTRY the adventure one; the X.TR the fixed sport-touring full-face.
🔵 Only the X.LIFETOUR carries a SHARP rating, and it is 3 stars from April 2026.
Comms, cameras and spare parts
🔵 If you plan to run comms, buy X-COM3 rather than a generic unit. The channels and recesses in this shell are sized for it, and a system that sits inside the helmet rather than on it preserves both the acoustics and the aerodynamics.
Two camera mounts — top and side — are built in; the camera is separate.
