Fast alles an einer Norden 901 lässt sich unterwegs noch anpassen. Der Reifendruck sinkt für eine Schotterpassage und steigt für die Autobahn nach Hause wieder, und der Fahrmodus wechselt per Daumendruck. Der Luftfilter ist die Ausnahme: Was zu Beginn im Luftfilterkasten sitzt, atmet für die gesamte Fahrt, und es gibt dafür keine Variante am Straßenrand. Das ist der ehrliche Rahmen für den Sprint Filter PM155T12 — ein Element, das gegen den härtesten Streckenabschnitt gewählt wird, nicht gegen dessen Durchschnitt.
Wichtigste Merkmale

Die eine Spezifikation, die sich an der Tankstelle nicht ändern lässt
Lange Strecken sind selten einheitlich. Zwei Tage Autobahn, ein Nachmittag trockene Piste, eine Woche Schotterwege in der Trockenzeit, dann wieder Asphalt — und ein einziges Element begleitet die ganze Fahrt. Deshalb ist der Durchschnitt einer Reise das falsche Kriterium für die Auslegung. Wenn die schlimmsten Tage einer Strecke die Norden von morgens bis abends in aufgewirbelten Staub stellen, wird das Argument für ein 7-Mikron-Medium an genau diesen Tagen entschieden, und die befestigten Abschnitte zahlen dafür mit. Kennt eine Strecke solche Tage nie, zahlen sie für gar nichts.
Wie die Rechnung aussieht
Es ist der radikalste Kompromiss im Sprint-Filter-Programm, und man sollte ihn ohne Beschönigung benennen: 560 Liter pro Quadratmeter und Sekunde gegenüber 5.050 beim Standard-P08 — etwa ein Neuntel, erkauft mit einer mehr als zehnfach feineren Rückhaltegrenze. Diese Kosten fallen auf jedem Kilometer an, nicht nur auf den staubigen. Was sich nicht ändert, ist die ehrliche Grenze jedes Austauschelements — keines davon macht eine Serien-Norden 901 stärker, dieses am allerwenigsten. Der verlässliche Gewinn ist ein niedrigerer Ansaugwiderstand zu Beginn als bei einem Wegwerfelement — einer, den der Kompressor bei jedem Service wiederherstellt, statt einer, der bis zum nächsten Teilekauf stetig ansteigt.
Pflege und Reinigung
Die Wartung dieses Elements erfolgt komplett trocken. Halten Sie eine Druckluftpistole an die saubere Seite und blasen Sie nach außen, sodass die Verschmutzung das Vlies auf der Seite verlässt, auf der sie eingedrungen ist. Hält das Material mehr fest, als Luft bewegen kann, erledigen handwarmes Wasser und etwas mildes Reinigungsmittel den Rest. Getrocknet wird nur an der Luft und mit Geduld — kein Heißluftfön, keine offene Flamme — und eingebaut wird erst, wenn es durchgehend trocken ist. Das Wartungsblatt finden Sie im Downloads-Tab.
Passgenauigkeit & Kompatibilität
Gefertigt für die Husqvarna Norden 901 der Baujahre 2022 bis 2026, passend in den Serien-Luftfilterkasten. Für diesen T12 sind sechs Maschinen gelistet — die Norden neben fünf KTM-Adventure-Modellen —, während dasselbe Gehäuse den P08 in dreizehn KTM- und Husqvarna-Modellen aufnimmt.
