PM147P14 erscheint für die Liter-RSV4 von 2015 bis 2020 überhaupt nicht: Das Gehäuse wird geteilt, die Auswahl an Medien nicht. Das lohnt sich zu wissen, bevor man nach Modellname einkauft: Welche Gewebe eine Maschine bekommen kann, wird in der Liste des Zulieferers Eintrag für Eintrag entschieden, nicht von allem anderen geerbt, das dasselbe Teil verwendet.

Zwei Einträge, und welche beiden
Beide Baureihen, die diese Nummer abdeckt, sind 1100er-Maschinen: die Factory, gelistet für das Modelljahr 2020, und die RSV4/Factory, gelistet für die Modelljahre 2021 bis 2026. Die früheren Litermaschinen, die sich das Gehäuse teilen, fehlen in der Liste. Nennt das Fahrzeugschein eine von diesen stattdessen, ist die Medienauswahl für diesen Luftfilterkasten kürzer, als diese Seite vermuten lässt, und endet beim Standardgewebe oder dem Renngewebe. Ein Staubmedium auf einem Superbike
Das liest sich zunächst seltsam, bis man bedenkt, wo eine solche Maschine ihr Jahr verbringt – unter einer Abdeckung, auf einem Anhänger, auf Straßen, die im Juni gekehrt und im Februar gesplittet werden. Staub ist kein reines Wüstenphänomen; er ist auch das, was ein eingelagertes, saisonal genutztes Motorrad in dem Moment aufnimmt, in dem es wieder gestartet wird. Das spricht hier für das feinere Element, und es ist ein Argument über Bedingungen, nicht über Ambitionen. Über Leistung sagt es schon gar nichts aus: Ein Element in einem unveränderten Luftfilterkasten lässt eine homologierte 1100er das leisten, was sie immer geleistet hat.
Pflege und Reinigung
Druckluft erledigt die Routinearbeit am PM147P14. Richten Sie sie auf die saubere Seite und treiben Sie den Staub nach außen, entlang des Wegs, auf dem er hereinkam, über die gesamte Matte hinweg statt an einer einzelnen Stelle. Wenn eine harte Saison mehr hinterlässt, als Luft entfernen kann, erledigt lauwarmes Wasser mit etwas mildem Reinigungsmittel den Rest, und das Element sollte gespült werden, bis das Wasser klar durchläuft. Getrocknet wird ohne Eile und kühl: nur Raumluft, nie ein Heizkörper, eine Heißluftpistole oder eine Flamme, denn Hitze ruiniert Polyester. Es kehrt trocken und unbehandelt in den Luftfilterkasten zurück. Das Pflegeblatt liegt im Downloads-Tab.
