Von den kleinen Suzukis, die sich diese Airbox teilen, ist die GSX-R150 diejenige, die am ehesten ein Wochenende auf der Strecke verbringt: vollverkleidet, die zielstrebigste der Gruppe, verkauft in Märkten, in denen Kleinvolumen-Rennsport ernst genommen wird. Deshalb lohnt es sich, genau zu sagen, was ein Luftfilter für einen Fahrer mit Stoppuhr leistet: Er findet keine Rundenzeit. Eine serienmäßige Maschine wird nicht von ihrem Filterelement ausgebremst, und der Sprint Filter P08 PM250S wird nicht mit diesem Versprechen verkauft. Was er über einen Renntag hinweg bietet, ist Gleichbleibendheit — die letzte Session mit demselben Ansaugwiderstand wie die erste, weil ein trockenes Element im Fahrerlager in der Zeit gereinigt werden kann, die ein Tankstopp dauert.
Wichtige Merkmale

Reinigung zwischen den Sessions
Hier trennen sich die Wege eines trockenen von einem geölten Mediums. Druckluft von der sauberen Seite nach außen, ein Blick auf die Dichtfläche, zurück ins Gehäuse: Minuten, und nichts Feuchtes kommt in die Nähe des Ansaugtrakts. Ein geölter Baumwollfilter bringt ein Verfahren mit sich — waschen, gründlich trocknen, gleichmäßig nachölen, warten, bis es sich verteilt hat —, das nicht in die Stunde zwischen zwei Ausfahrten passt. Ein Fahrer, der den Filter an der Strecke nicht warten kann, wartet ihn nicht und fährt den Nachmittag mit dem, was der Vormittag hinterlassen hat. An einer GSX-R150 ist die Verkleidung der langwierige Teil der Arbeit; das Element geht schnell.
Was das Medium ist
Der P08 besteht aus einer einzelnen Lage gewebtem Polyester, gesponnen aus Fäden ab 22 Mikron, filtert bei 80 Mikron und lässt 5.050 Liter pro Quadratmeter und Sekunde durch, auf etwa der doppelten Fläche anderer Hochleistungsfilter. Er wird nie geölt und ist waschbar statt Einwegware. Sprint Filter hat gemessen, dass vierlagige geölte Baumwolle 76,42 Prozent der 100-Mikron-Testpartikel zurückhält, gegenüber 93,13 Prozent bei diesem trockenen Gewebe. Feinere Medien sind für schwierigere Luft gemacht — P037 mit 37 Mikron, P14 mit 14, T12 mit 7 — und jede feinere Stufe gibt Durchsatz auf, der P14 lässt 1.800 durch. Ein Kompromiss statt einer Rangliste; für Straßen- und Streckeneinsatz ist der P08 die Standardantwort.
Pflege und Reinigung
An einem Trackday kann das PM250S so oft wie sinnvoll von der sauberen Seite nach außen durchgeblasen werden. Eine gründlichere Reinigung bedeutet lauwarmes Wasser und ein mildes Reinigungsmittel, gespült, bis das Wasser klar bleibt; das Element trocknet dann vollständig an der frischen Luft, fern von Hitze und jeder offenen Flamme, und wird trocken wieder eingebaut. Passform & Kompatibilität
Gefertigt für die Suzuki GSX-R150, gebaut 2017 bis 2020, ein direkter Ersatz in der serienmäßigen Airbox ohne Modifikation. Dasselbe Element deckt die anderen kleinvolumigen Suzukis auf dieser Airbox sowie eine Maschine einer anderen Marke ab; die vollständige Liste finden Sie im Fitment-Tab.
