Rund um den Luftfilterkasten der 411 Himalayan läuft das Programm in eine einzige Richtung. Da ist dieses Element, das gewebte Standard-CM199S, und da ist die Extremstufe darunter; die feine Stufe vervollständigt die Code-Familie für die Scram. Über dem Standard gibt es überhaupt nichts – für dieses Gehäuse wurde kein Racing-Medium entworfen, in einer Baureihe, die für die meisten Sport- und Roadster-Gehäuse eines anbietet. Liest man die Liste so, ist der P08 hier keine Mittelstufe. Er ist das offene Ende.

Was die fehlende Stufe verrät
Ein Racing-Medium existiert, um Luft in einer Rate durchzulassen, die ein Straßenmotor auf öffentlichen Straßen niemals abrufen kann, und Sprint Filter hat für diesen Kasten kein solches entworfen. Das passt zur Maschine. Ein für unbefestigte Straßen gebauter 411er-Einzylinder hat an keinem Tag seines Lebens zu wenig Luft; an manchen Tagen hat er zu wenig saubere Luft, und genau dafür sind die feineren Stufen der Familie da. Alles dazwischen – die Pendelfahrt, die Passstraße, der lange Tag auf Asphalt – deckt dieses Element ab, ohne dass der Besitzer die nächste Etappe vorhersagen müsste.
Der Teil des Anspruchs, der Bestand hat
Ein Einbauelement macht ein Standardmotorrad nicht spürbar stärker, und kein Satz hier soll so gelesen werden, dass er das verspricht. Was das gewebte Polyester bietet, ist ein Ansaugwiderstand, der immer wieder zu seinem Ausgangspunkt zurückkehrt. Die Oberfläche lässt sich auf den Zustand zurückreinigen, für den sie bewertet wurde, sodass der Durchflusswert einer ist, zu dem dieses Element bei jedem Service zurückkehrt, statt einer, von dem es sich entfernt. Ein gefaltetes Papierelement hat keinen Rückweg: Vom Tag des Einbaus an steigt sein Widerstand still an, und das einzige Mittel dagegen ist ein neues Element.
Pflege und Reinigung
Das CM199S wird trocken gewartet. Setzen Sie eine Druckluftpistole an der sauberen Seite an und arbeiten Sie nach außen, damit die Beladung das Gewebe auf dem Weg verlässt, auf dem sie ankam, statt tiefer hineingedrückt zu werden. Ist die Ablagerung eher fettig als staubig, lösen lauwarmes Wasser und etwas mildes Reinigungsmittel sie; spülen, bis das Wasser klar abläuft. Danach an der Luft trocknen lassen, in seiner eigenen Zeit, ohne Heißluftpistole, ohne Ofen und ohne Flamme in der Nähe, und trocken und unbehandelt wieder einbauen. Passform & Kompatibilität
Für die Royal Enfield Himalayan von 2021 bis 2023. Sprint Filter listet dasselbe Element auch für die Scram 411 von 2022 und 2023, sodass sich zwei Maschinen diese Nummer teilen. Bestätigen Sie Ihr eigenes Baujahr im Fitment-Tab, bevor Sie bestellen.
