Die meisten Sprint-Filter-Codes decken mehrere Motorräder ab. Einige wenige decken nur eines ab, und dies ist einer dieser wenigen – die Fitment-Liste für den SM282S hat nur eine einzige Zeile, die QJ Motor SRK 650 RR von 2025 und 2026. Das macht die Bestellung ungewöhnlich sicher, denn der häufigste Fehler bei Luftfiltern ist, den richtigen Code für das falsche Baujahr oder die falsche Variante einer gemeinsamen Plattform zu kaufen, und hier gibt es kein anderes Baujahr und keine andere Variante, bei der man sich vertun könnte. Der Code sagt Ihnen alles, was Sie sonst gegenprüfen müssten.

Ein Code, der sich ein Dutzend Motorräder teilt, sagt Ihnen, dass ein Gehäuse mehrfach verwendet wurde; ein Code mit nur einem Eintrag sagt kaum etwas über irgendetwas anderes aus als über sich selbst, und genau das ist sein Vorteil beim Kauf. Es gibt kein Plattform-Geschwistermodell, dessen Baujahre man mit den eigenen verwechseln könnte, kein Facelift mitten in der Bauzeit, keine zweite Marke, die dasselbe Teil unter anderem Namen führt. Das Einzige, was ein Einzelmodell-Code nicht tut, ist, seine eigene Verfügbarkeit auf mehrere Modelle zu verteilen – es lohnt sich daher, die Teilenummer selbst – SM282S – an einer Stelle festzuhalten, an der Sie sie wiederfinden, statt sich in ein paar Jahren auf eine Suche nach dem Modellnamen zu verlassen.
Was das Standardmedium beiträgt
Der P08 ist das Straßen- und Rennstreckengewebe des Sortiments, und sein Wert an einer SRK 650 RR liegt nicht dort, wo Ansaugteile normalerweise verkauft werden. Er macht ein serienmäßiges Motorrad nicht spürbar stärker, und kein Element irgendeines Gewebes tut das. Was er bewirkt, ist, dass der Ansaugtrakt mit einem niedrigen Widerstand beginnt und dabei bleibt, weil ein trockenes Polyesterelement wieder auf seinen eigenen Zustand zurückgewaschen wird, statt sich stetig zuzusetzen, bis es weggeworfen wird. Feinere Medien existieren in diesem Sortiment und halten mehr zurück, zum Preis eines geringeren Durchflusses – dieser Tausch ist fest, und er macht sie zu anderen Werkzeugen, nicht zu besseren.
Pflege und Reinigung
Zuerst Luft. Ein an die saubere Seite gehaltener Druckluftschlauch drückt den eingeschlossenen Schmutz auf demselben Weg wieder heraus, auf dem er hineingelangt ist, statt ihn durch das Gewebe zu treiben. Übersteht ein öliger Film das, entfernt ihn handwarmes Wasser mit einer kleinen Menge mildem Reinigungsmittel, und das Element wird anschließend gespült, bis das Wasser klar ist. Getrocknet wird bei Umgebungsluft, niemals mit Hitze oder Flamme, und das Element wird trocken und unbehandelt wieder eingebaut.
