Ein Filterwert bedeutet nur etwas, wenn die gesamte Luft tatsächlich durch den Filter strömt. Das klingt selbstverständlich und ist trotzdem regelmäßig der Punkt, an dem es schiefgeht: Ein Element von ungefähr passender Größe, in einen Luftfilterkasten gepresst, für den es nie geformt wurde, dichtet an manchen Stellen ab und an anderen nicht, und die Luft nimmt den einfacheren Weg. Wofür das Medium dann bewertet ist, spielt keine Rolle mehr, denn ein kleiner Anteil völlig ungefilterter Luft wiegt schwerer als ein großer Anteil gut gefilterter Luft. Der Sprint Filter P08 für diese Maschine ist exakt nach Form und Dichtfläche des Serienelements gebaut, sodass er im Original-Luftfilterkasten genauso sitzt wie das Originalteil. Alles andere, was die Spezifikation verspricht, hängt an diesem einen unspektakulären Punkt.

Passform vor Filterung
Es hilft, sich Luftfilterkasten und Element als eine einzige abgedichtete Baugruppe mit nur einem Weg hinein vorzustellen. Der Rahmen des Filters ist es, der diese Baugruppe schließt, und er muss steif genug sein, um seine Form gegen den Druck des Motors zu halten, und an der Dichtfläche zugleich nachgiebig genug, um die kleinen Unregelmäßigkeiten eines Kunststoff-Formteils auszugleichen. So betrachtet ist ein passgenaues Element keine Komfortfunktion, sondern die Voraussetzung für den Rest der Spezifikation. Es bedeutet außerdem, dass am Ansaugtrakt nichts verändert wird: kein Zuschneiden, keine Distanzstücke, kein Remapping und keine Änderung an der Homologation der Maschine.
Zehn Minuten, und ein Punkt, den man prüfen sollte
Der Einbau ist unkompliziert. Das alte Element herausnehmen, losen Schmutz vom Boden des Luftfilterkastens wischen, damit er später nicht angesaugt wird, und das P08 rundum mit sauber anliegender Dichtfläche einsetzen, bevor der Deckel wieder aufgesetzt wird. Mit dem Finger einmal am Rand entlangfahren; sitzt er gleichmäßig, ist die Arbeit erledigt. Das ist auch der richtige Moment, um ehrlich zu bleiben, was sich verändert hat: Der Motor leistet dadurch nicht mehr. Was er bekommt, ist ein niedrigerer Ansaugwiderstand, der zwischen den Services konstant bleibt, und ein Bauteil, das gereinigt statt nachbestellt wird.
Pflege und Reinigung
Den PM183S mit Druckluft von der sauberen Seite nach außen durchblasen. Wenn das nicht ausreicht, in lauwarmem Wasser mit etwas mildem Reinigungsmittel waschen, spülen, bis das Wasser klar durchläuft, und vollständig an der frischen Luft trocknen lassen, nie mit Hitze und nie in der Nähe einer Flamme. Trocken wieder einsetzen; das P08 wird nie geölt. Das Pflegeblatt von Sprint Filter liegt im Downloads-Tab.
Fitment & Kompatibilität
Gefertigt für die Honda Supra GTR 150, 2016 bis 2026. Dasselbe PM183S-Element deckt fünf Maschinen ab, die auf diesem Luftfilterkasten aufbauen: FS150, RS150R, Sonic 150R, Supra GTR 150 und Winner 150, die Sonic 150R ab 2015. Die vollständige Liste steht im Fitment-Tab.
