Das ist eine Aussage des Herstellers über sich selbst und keine unabhängige Zählung, und man sollte sie so nehmen, wie sie ist: als Beleg dafür, wie Rennteams eine Ansaugung warten, nicht als Versprechen an ein Straßen-Naked-Bike. Was ein Team an einem waschbaren Element hat, ist ein Teil, das zwischen den Sessions in einen bekannten Zustand zurückversetzt werden kann. Diese Eigenschaft kommt mit dem PM171S nach Hause; die Rundenzeiten bleiben, wo sie waren.

Wofür ein Rennteam eines nutzt
Im Fahrerlager ist das Luftfilterelement ein Wartungsteil, das herausgenommen, mit Druckluft gereinigt und innerhalb einer Sessionpause wieder eingesetzt wird – ein gemessener Ansaugzustand wird auf einem gemessenen Niveau gehalten, statt über ein Wochenende hinweg abzudriften. Nichts davon ist eine Leistungsgeschichte, und kein Gewebe liefert eine. Auf der Straße kommt dieselbe Eigenschaft mit einem längeren Zeittakt an: Eine S 1000 R fährt eine Saison, kein Wochenende, und das Element kehrt zu seiner Ausgangsdrosselung zurück, wann immer es passt, nicht bei irgendeinem geschätzten Kilometerstand. Kein Einsatzelement macht ein Serien-Straßenmotorrad messbar stärker. Es macht eine Zeile der Wartung wiederholbar.
Das Medium in diesem Angebot
Der P08 ist das Road-&-Track-Gewebe, nicht das Racing-Gewebe. Er ist mit einer Öffnung von 80 µm und 5.050 l/m²/sek angegeben und hält im eigenen Vergleich von Sprint Filter 93,13 Prozent der 100-Mikron-Testpartikel zurück, während vierlagige geölte Baumwolle 76,42 Prozent hält. Das Racing-Gewebe für denselben Luftfilterkasten, der P08 F1-85, kommt auf einen Nennwert von 15.000 l/m²/sek, zu fast dem Zweieinhalbfachen dieses Preises. Mehr Luft durch eine andere Webart zu deutlich höheren Kosten: eine Spezifikation für einen bestimmten Kontext, und ein Straßen-Roadster gehört nicht dazu.
Pflege und Reinigung
Die Reinigung des PM171S ist im Normalfall eine trockene Arbeit: eine Druckluftleitung an die saubere Seite, nach außen durch das Gewebe gearbeitet, dann wieder einsetzen. Ist eine Wäsche angebracht, lauwarmes Wasser mit einem milden Reinigungsmittel verwenden und spülen, bis das Wasser klar ist. Danach vollständig an offener Luft trocknen lassen, so lange es dauert; Hitze und Flamme zerstören Polyester, also bleiben beide fern. Es geht trocken zurück, nie geölt. Passform & Kompatibilität
Gefertigt für die BMW S 1000 R, gebaut von 2021 bis 2026, direkt einsetzbar in den Serien-Luftfilterkasten. Diese Generation des Roadsters behält für ihre gesamte Bauzeit eine Teilenummer; die anderen Namen auf der Liste sind nicht alle so einfach, prüfen Sie also das Baujahr Ihrer Maschine im Fitment-Tab statt nach dem Modellnamen zu gehen.
