Wenn eine Reisemaschine mit hoher Laufleistung den Besitzer wechselt, lässt sich fast alles durch Hinsehen beurteilen. Reifen, Kette oder Kardanantrieb, Bremsscheiben, Gabeldichtungen, der Zustand der Verschraubungen – all das ist in zehn Minuten auf dem Vorplatz sichtbar. Der Ansaugtrakt nicht. Niemand hebt bei einer Besichtigung den Airbox-Deckel an, also bleibt, was in den letzten vierzigtausend Kilometern durch den Motor geströmt ist, eine Vertrauenssache. PM01S F1-85 ist ein waschbares Element, was bedeutet, dass sein Zustand vollständig davon abhängt, wie es gepflegt wurde, und das wiederum bedeutet, dass die Dokumentation genauso wichtig ist wie das Material.

Der Teil der Wartungshistorie, den niemand sehen kann
Ein Wegwerfelement hinterlässt zufällig eine Papierspur: Es taucht auf Rechnungen auf. Ein waschbares tut das nicht, und sein gesamter Wertvorteil hängt von Reinigungen ab, die keine Quittung hinterlassen. Datum und Kilometerstand bei jedem Ausbau der Platte auf einem Werkstattblatt zu notieren kostet nichts und macht aus einem unsichtbaren Bauteil ein dokumentiertes. Bei einer V85 Travel, die eines Tages weiterverkauft wird, ist diese Notiz der einzige Beleg, den ein Käufer je dafür haben wird, dass die Ansaugung gewartet und nicht einfach sich selbst überlassen wurde.
Warum diese Stufe, ehrlich gesagt
Ein Renngewebe passt zu einer Maschine, deren Airbox häufig geöffnet wird und deren Luft nicht besonders fein ist. Auf langen Asphaltfahrten wird es nicht nahe an seiner Durchsatzgrenze arbeiten, und für den feinen Anteil des Langstreckenstaubs veröffentlicht Sprint Filter keinen Vergleich mit dem Standardgewebe. Auch der Leistung fügt es nichts hinzu: Ein Element in einem unveränderten Airbox lässt ein Serienmotorrad genau so stark, wie es zuvor war. Was es bietet, ist ein niedriger Widerstand, den die Reinigung vollständig wiederherstellt, und ein Teil, das bei der Maschine bleibt, statt von ihr verbraucht zu werden.
Pflege und Reinigung
Druckluft von der sauberen Seite nach außen ist zwischen den Fahrten die Routine für dieses Element. Handwarmes Wasser mit einem milden Reinigungsmittel bewältigt eine Saison Straßenfilm; gründlich durchspülen und die Platte vor dem Wiedereinbau vollständig in bewegter Luft trocknen lassen. Trocknen Sie es niemals mit Hitze oder Flamme, und behandeln Sie das Gewebe niemals mit Öl. Das Pflegeblatt finden Sie im Reiter Downloads, und es lohnt sich, es bei den Fahrzeugpapieren aufzubewahren.
