Sprint Filter lists this element as a direct replacement for the paper panel in the series airbox: nothing cut, nothing repositioned, no recalibration afterwards. That is a convenience, and it is also a statement about magnitude. A component that altered an engine enough to need its fuelling adjusted would arrive with instructions saying so. This one does not, and the racing designation printed on the label does not change that. It is a useful thing to hold on to while reading the rest of the specification.
Key Features
- Direct replacement in the standard SRK 600 Pro airbox, with no remapping needed
- Dry woven polyester with an 85-micron aperture, rated at 15,000 l/m²/sec
- Retention measured at 95.22 % of 100-micron particles
- Roughly twice the filtering fabric of an ordinary performance element
- Supplied dry and kept dry — no oil is applied to this medium at any stage
- Cleaned with compressed air; two years of warranty from the date of purchase
No remap is a size, not only a saving
Owners tend to read the phrase as convenience, and it is that. It is also information. Fuelling has to be revisited when something changes the amount of air an engine actually receives across the range it is used in; when nothing has to be revisited, nothing much has changed. That holds for the racing cloth exactly as it holds for the standard one. The element sits in the same housing, behind the same intake, in front of the same throttle bodies, and the catalogue treats both as parts you fit and ride away on.
Where the specification is genuinely spent
A rating of 15,000 l/m²/sec is only worth having where the restriction it removes was the one setting the limit — which, on a machine still in the state it left the factory in, it is not. That is the honest reading of a part listed at close to three and a half times the standard element for this airbox: the price relation is not a quality ladder, it is a description of a narrow use. So the plain version, since this corner of the market rarely offers one: a drop-in element does not make a standard SRK 600 Pro noticeably stronger, and buying the racing cloth in that expectation is buying the wrong part.
Care and cleaning
An air line on the clean side, worked steadily across the cloth, returns the load out along its entry path and is the whole of a normal service. Deposits that are oily rather than dusty come away in lukewarm water with a little mild detergent, thoroughly rinsed. Drying is left to moving air at room temperature, with no heat source involved at any stage, and the PM209S F1-85 is fitted back dry and untreated. Sprint Filter's maintenance sheet is in the Downloads tab.
Fitment & Compatibility
Cut for the airbox of the QJ Motor SRK 600 Pro as built in 2025 and 2026, one element per machine. Five models carry this racing code, under the QJ Motor and Benelli badges alike; the complete list is in the Fitment tab.
