Sprint Filter P08 Air Filter for Road & Track – Moto Guzzi V85 TT (2018–2020) PM01S

The V85 TT put a classic transverse twin into a genuine adventure chassis, and the cylinders sticking out into the airstream are not decoration — that is how the engine stays cool. It is also a reminder of where this bike is meant to go. Spoked wheels and a nineteen-inch front are an invitation to leave the tarmac, and gravel throws a fine dust that loads an air filter far faster than road air ever will. The Sprint Filter P08 PM01S answers with a dry polyester weave and roughly double the filtering surface.

Why oil is the wrong answer on gravel

An oiled cotton gauze traps dust well, because the dust sticks to the oil. The problem is what happens afterwards: oil migrates when the airbox runs warm and the bike is worked hard, and it travels downstream to where the sensors are. A contaminated sensor does not fail cleanly — it reads low, the fuelling drifts, and the fault is difficult to trace because nothing looks broken. A dry element has no oil to travel and no re-oiling step to get wrong.

The five-minute reset

At the end of a dusty stage the element comes out, gets blown through from the clean side with whatever compressed air is available, and goes straight back in. No drying time, no spare in the pannier. A paper element loaded on the second day of a trip stays loaded for the rest of it.

Care and cleaning

Compressed air from the clean side outwards. For a deeper clean, wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, rinse until the water runs clear, and dry fully in air — never with heat, never with a flame. Refit dry. Sprint Filter's maintenance sheet is in the Downloads tab.
