Sprint Filter P08 Air Filter for Road & Track – Ducati Scrambler 800 (2015–2023) CM61S

No modern Ducati gets modified as often as the Scrambler 800. It was designed to be a starting point, and most of them end up with a different exhaust, different bars, different everything — which makes it worth being clear about what this particular part does and does not do. The Sprint Filter P08 CM61S is not an intake modification. It is the element Ducati's airbox was built to hold, made from dry polyester instead of paper, with roughly double the filtering surface. The airbox stays sealed, the fuelling stays where it was set, and nothing needs remapping.

Why that distinction matters here

The usual intake upgrade on a customised Scrambler is an open cone filter, and it does change the sound. It also changes the air the engine is metering against, unfilters the intake to a degree most owners would not accept if it were described honestly, and generally wants a remap to work properly. This is the opposite kind of part: the restriction goes down, the filtration stays where Ducati set it, and the bike behaves exactly as it did before — just without the pressure drop climbing through every service interval.

Nine model years, one element

The 803 cc air-cooled twin ran from 2015 to 2023 with the same airbox, and CM61S also covers the Monster 797 and 821, the Hypermotard and Hyperstrada families, the SuperSport 939 and the Monster 1200 — twenty-four machines in total. A part that broad stays easy to find years after any single version leaves production.

Care and cleaning

Compressed air from the clean side outwards. For a deeper clean, wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, rinse until the water runs clear, and dry fully in air — never with heat, never with a flame. Refit dry; there is no oiling step.
