Die geschmiedete Magnesium-Struktur des Cattiva erreicht genau das: Die Federung reagiert schneller auf Kerbs und Unebenheiten, während der reduzierte Kreiseleffekt der 899 spürbar leichtere Richtungswechsel ermöglicht. Die Sechsspeichen-Geometrie hält die Steifigkeit dort hoch, wo es zählt — unter Bremslasten und seitlichen Kurvenkräften —, sodass kein Kompromiss zwischen Leichtigkeit und der von einem Rennreifen geforderten Präzision entsteht.
Konstruktion und Verarbeitung
OZ schmiedet jedes Cattiva Rad aus hochwertiger Magnesiumlegierung mit denselben Verfahren, die auch in den Werksprogrammen für World Superbike und MotoGP zum Einsatz kommen.
