Bei Dichtungen und Führungen entscheidet ein Hundertstel Millimeter darüber, ob die Einheit dicht bleibt. Scheiben unterscheiden sich in Dicke, nicht nur im Durchmesser. Muttern mit Klemmteil sind für einmaligen Gebrauch vorgesehen. Ein Kugelgelenk-Distanzstück gleicht Winkelfehler in der Anlenkung aus.

Die Nummer 04758-03 ist eindeutig; die Bezeichnung allein ist es nicht, weil Öhlins ähnliche Wortlaute über mehrere Größen verwendet. Das Maß ist entscheidend; optisch ähnliche Teile passen oft nicht.
