Was es ist
Maßlich ist das Teil mit Innendurchmesser 14 mm, Außendurchmesser 36 mm beschrieben. Die Vorspannung der Lippe kommt von einer eingelegten Ringfeder. Die Führung im Kopf nimmt Querkräfte auf und schützt so die Dichtlippe. Undichtigkeit zeigt sich zuerst als Ölfilm auf der Welle, dann als Tropfen.

Kommt die Einheit ohnehin auf die Werkbank, lohnt es sich, die benachbarten Verschleißteile mitzubestellen. Beim Einpressen darf die Dichtung nicht verkanten, sonst ist sie sofort undicht. Öhlins hält seine Fahrwerke über Einzelteile am Leben; deshalb lässt sich ein fünfzehn Jahre altes Federbein noch überholen statt ersetzen.

Bestellt wird unter 21025-03. Wo sich mehrere Größen eine Bezeichnung teilen, trennt sie nur die Nummer. Der Werkstoff ist auf die Öltemperatur abgestimmt, die im Betrieb entsteht. Öhlins setzt je nach Einbaulage unterschiedliche Profile ein.
