Zwei Bänke, zwei Platten
Das ist der praktische Unterschied zwischen einem V4 und einem Twin. Ein Parallel-Twin braucht einen Deckel; der V4 hat Membranventile auf jeder Bank und damit zwei zu schließende Kanäle. Sätze mit nur einer Platte lassen die Arbeit halb erledigt — das lohnt sich zu prüfen, wenn Sie dieses Angebot mit anderen vergleichen.
Siebzehn Jahre Produktion
Aprilia hat die RSV4 in diesem Zeitraum wiederholt überarbeitet — Hubraum, Elektronik, Fahrwerk und Verkleidung änderten sich alle. Die PAIR-Anordnung nicht, weshalb ein Satz von einer 2009er APRC bis zu einer aktuellen Factory reicht.
Was danach zu erwarten ist
Der Motor leistet nicht mehr. Der Auspuff knallt im Schiebebetrieb deutlich weniger, weil die Frischluft, die bisher in den heißen Auspuff geblasen wurde, nicht mehr da ist. Und es liegt erheblich weniger Schlauch unter dem Tank als vorher.
Montage
Airbox und Tank ab für den Zugang, Magnetventil abstecken und samt Schläuchen entfernen, Eliminator auf den frei gewordenen Stecker, Airbox-Stutzen stopfen, dann beide Membrandeckel herunter und die gefrästen Platten verschrauben. An einem V4 ist das ein voller Nachmittag, und fast die gesamte Zeit ist Zugang.
