Das Homologationsmodell
Kürzerer Hub, Titanpleuel und eine Drehzahlgrenze, die Straßenfahrer nie erreichen. Die R existiert, damit Ducati Rennsport betreiben kann, und fast jede davon wird genau dafür genutzt.
Ganz ohne Schlüssel
Das Motorrad wird per Knopf scharf- und ausgeschaltet statt durch Drehen eines Schlüssels. In der Boxengasse gibt es nichts zu verlieren, und in der Lederkombi nichts zu tragen.
Nicht für ein Straßenmotorrad
Ein zugelassenes Motorrad braucht seine Lenkradsperre und an den meisten Orten seine Wegfahrsperre. Dieses Teil setzt voraus, dass die Maschine abseits öffentlicher Straßen genutzt wird.
Versicherung und Diebstahl
Ein Motorrad ohne Lenkradsperre lässt sich leichter bewegen. Das ist eine berechtigte Überlegung für jeden, der eine Maschine außerhalb einer verschlossenen Werkstatt abstellt.
Der Druckknopf selbst
Nach IP69K gekapselt, der Schutzklasse für Heißwasserreinigung unter hohem Druck. Motorräder, die auf dem Anhänger leben, bekommen davon reichlich ab.
Woher die Gramm kommen
Ein Stahlzylinder, ein Schließmechanismus, eine Halterung und ein Kabelsatz. Nichts davon ist leicht, und alles sitzt oberhalb des Lenkkopfs.
Nichts einzurichten
Es gibt kein Setup, kein Anlernen und kein Verfahren. Anschrauben, einstecken – und das Motorrad verhält sich wie zuvor mit gedrehtem Schlüssel.
Die Optik
Es sitzt in der Mitte des Cockpits und verändert, wie das Motorrad vom Sattel aus wirkt. Das ist ein echter Kaufgrund, kein peinlicher.
Keine Einstellung nötig
Nichts wird geschraubt, nichts unterlegt und nichts justiert. Es wird in die vorhandenen Bohrungen des Blocks geschraubt und funktioniert ab dem ersten Tastendruck.
Schlüssellos in der Praxis
Das Motorrad ist scharf, sobald der Taster gedrückt wird, und tot bei erneutem Drücken. Nichts steckt in einem Zylinder, während die Maschine auf dem Ständer steht, nichts klappert in der Lederkombi, und niemand verbringt eine Session mit der Schlüsselsuche im Fahrerlager.
