The NC750S was sold as the sensible motorcycle, with the tank space used for a helmet and the engine tuned for torque rather than revs. Sensible does not mean comfortable, though, and the bar sits low and far forward for a bike meant to be ridden upright. The 1DGT lifts it and keeps the rest of the cockpit untouched.

Gilles lists the NC750S and NC750X of 2014 to 2020 under the Honda type RC70 for this riser.
Handlebar choice
The clamp takes a 28 millimetre bar directly; with the original 22 millimetre bar, Gilles clamp half-shells are needed.
Road Approval
ABE No. KBA 91473 lists the Honda NC750S for the 1DGT risers. The document notes: if the original 22 mm handlebar is kept, Gilles clamp half-shells are required; the handlebar may be a Gilles GTO-L, a WRP AM2200 or the original 28 mm bar. Unlike most approvals this one asks for an acceptance inspection: after fitting, have the bike checked under §19(3) StVZO by an official testing organisation such as TÜV, DEKRA, GTÜ or KÜS, and carry the ABE together with the confirmation.

Fitting
The risers go on at the original mounting points of the top yoke. Work loosely first, set the position you want, then tighten every fastener to the value in the Gilles instructions. Turn the bars from lock to lock before riding and check that cables, hoses and wiring still run free.
