Der V4 Granturismo versteckt seine Zylinder nicht. Der Motor ist ein gestalterisches Element der Diavel V4, und die Abdeckungen über den Köpfen gehören zu den größten sichtbaren Motorflächen des Motorrads. Dieser Satz ersetzt sie als abgestimmte Gruppe statt einzeln.

Der Temperaturwechsel ist die eigentliche Prüfung
Motorabdeckungen sind die Carbonteile, die der dauerhaften Hitze am nächsten leben, und sie zeigen Aushärtequalität am schnellsten. Ein Laminat mit Poren nimmt Feuchtigkeit auf, und eingeschlossene Feuchtigkeit in einem Teil, das ein paar hundert Mal von kalt auf Betriebstemperatur geht, tut genau das, was die Physik nahelegt. Eine autoklavgehärtete Abdeckung hat einen so niedrigen Porenanteil, dass sich die Frage gar nicht stellt.
Es gibt auch ein Serviceargument. Diese Abdeckungen kommen bei Arbeiten am Ventiltrieb ab, und ein Teil mit verformten Schraubaugen macht aus einer Routinearbeit einen Streit mit dem Drehmomentschlüssel. Das Originalbohrbild bleibt erhalten, der Standardablauf gilt also weiter.

Das gehört ausgesprochen, weil es das Versagensbild ist, das die Leute erwischt. Ein Mechaniker, der nicht weiß, dass die Zylinderabdeckungen aus Carbon sind, zieht sie nach dem Gefühl an, das zum originalen Kunststoff passt – und Carbon warnt nicht auf dieselbe Weise, bevor ein Auge reißt.
Erwähnen Sie es bei der Abgabe oder legen Sie eine Notiz ins Serviceheft. Im normalen Betrieb sind die Teile völlig haltbar; verwundbar sind sie genau einmal, beim Wiedereinbau durch jemanden, der aus Gewohnheit arbeitet.
