Zwei Schalldämpfer liegen direkt daneben
Die 959 trägt ihre Anlage tief und seitlich – die Änderung, die Euro 4 erzwungen hat, und das, was den meisten Besitzern zuerst auffällt. Diese Töpfe liegen nahe an der Stelle, an die ein verkürzter Träger Kennzeichen und Verkabelung bringt.
Vor der Montage überlegen, wo die Leitung der Kennzeichenleuchte laufen wird, und sie von allem freihalten, was heiß wird. Am langen Serienarm liegt die Führung weit von den Schalldämpfern entfernt, an einem kurzen Träger nicht – und ein Hitzeschaden an einer Lichtleitung meldet sich Monate später auf einer dunklen Straße.
Die geregelte Liste
Neigung des Kennzeichens, Ausleuchtung der Kennzeichenfläche, Vorhandensein und Sichtbarkeit des Rückstrahlers: Alle drei sind vorgeschrieben, alle drei werden kontrolliert, und alle drei werden Ihre Sache, sobald die Serieneinheit abgeht.

Zulassung
Fullsix stellt weder eine ABE noch eine EG-Betriebserlaubnis aus. In Deutschland ist ein Kennzeichenträger ohne Teilegutachten oder ABE für sich genommen nicht eintragungsfähig – vor der Montage mit der Prüforganisation klären.
Montage
Zuerst die Leuchte umsetzen und im Dunkeln prüfen. Rückstrahler von direkt hinten auf Kennzeichenhöhe kontrollieren. Die Leitungsführung am kalten Motorrad gegen die Schalldämpfer prüfen und nach einer kurzen Fahrt noch einmal mit der Hand.
