Die Frontverkleidung gibt der DesertX ihr Gesicht – das Paneel, das den übereinanderliegenden Doppelscheinwerfer einfasst und die Rallye-Silhouette trägt, um die herum Ducati das Motorrad gebaut hat. Sie in Carbon zu ersetzen ist die eine Änderung, die verändert, wie das Motorrad von vorn wirkt, und deshalb ist sie meist das erste oder das letzte Teil, das ein Besitzer kauft, selten eines dazwischen.

Passgenauigkeit zählt hier mehr als anderswo
An einer Abdeckung ist ein Millimeter Versatz unsichtbar. An der Frontverkleidung ist er das Erste, was auffällt, weil das Auge den Spalt zwischen diesem Paneel und dem Scheinwerfer als Qualitätsmerkmal liest. Darin liegt der eigentliche konstruktive Gehalt eines solchen Teils: nicht im Laminat, das dasselbe ist wie beim Fersenschutz, sondern in der Form und in der Beschnittvorrichtung.
Gewicht ist hier ein Nebeneffekt und nicht der Zweck. Was man ganz vorn am Motorrad einspart, über und vor dem Lenkkopf, macht sich durchaus bemerkbar, wenn sich das Vorderrad nach einer Querrille beruhigt – aber niemand kauft eine Frontverkleidung deswegen. Man kauft sie, weil sie das Motorrad verändert, und freut sich dann über die Nebenwirkung.
Scheibe und Scheinwerfer, in dieser Reihenfolge
Die Montagereihenfolge an diesem Paneel ist nicht optional. Die Scheibe muss ab, bevor die Verkleidung ihre Halter freigibt, und der Versuch, darum herum zu arbeiten, ist der Weg, wie die Paneelkante Spuren bekommt. Mit abgenommener Scheibe löst sich die Verkleidung an ihren Originalbefestigungen, bei den meisten Motorrädern ohne weitere Demontage.
Prüfen Sie danach die Scheinwerfereinstellung. Die DesertX-Doppeleinheit wird vom umgebenden Paneel positioniert, und auch wenn der Carbonersatz vom Original abgeformt ist, ist jede wieder montierte Verkleidung ein Grund, die Leuchtweite zu kontrollieren. Das dauert fünf Minuten an einer Wand und ist der Unterschied zwischen sauberer Arbeit und einer Beanstandung bei der nächsten Untersuchung.

Für diese Verkleidung veröffentlicht Fullsix weder eine ABE noch eine EG-Betriebserlaubnis.
