Zehn Verschlüsse, ein Vorderbau
Vier am Oberteil und drei je Flanke — der ganze Vorderbau des Motorrads hängt an zehn Vierteldrehverschlüssen. Diese Zahl ist der Grund, warum dieser Satz nicht nur das Aussehen ändert, sondern die Arbeit am Motorrad. Der Zugang zu Steuerkopf, Kabelbaum, Kühleroberkante und Airboxvorderseite hört auf, eine Arbeit zu sein, und wird zu etwas, das man zwischen zwei Sitzungen macht, weil es eine Minute dauert. An einer Maschine, deren Serienfassung von Steckclips und Kreuzschlitzschrauben zusammengehalten wird, ist das der Unterschied, den ein Fahrer jedes Wochenende merkt.
Der übliche Grund, ihn zu kaufen
Frontschäden reichen selten bis ins Heck. Ein Motorrad, das vorn gelegen hat, braucht eine Nase und zwei Flanken, und sie als abgestimmten Satz aus einer Fertigung zu kaufen, ist schneller, günstiger und passgenauer, als vier Teile einzeln zu bestellen und auf übereinstimmende Lose zu hoffen. Diesen Satz über eine Saison im Regal zu haben, ist für ein Team eine vertretbare Entscheidung.
Was nicht dabei ist
Der Bugspoiler H25220AP und seine Halter IN2502H sind getrennt, und das zählt für die technische Abnahme: Die meisten Rundstreckenreglements verlangen eine ölauffangende untere Verkleidung, ein Motorrad allein mit diesem Satz ist also noch nicht startberechtigt. Heck, Sitzbank und Cockpithalter sind ebenfalls getrennt. Der Komplettsatz deckt alles ab, wenn der ganze Umbau auf einmal erfolgt.
