CY20301 ist die Hälfte des R9-Rennhecks, die niemand fotografiert: der untere Teil, der die Unterseite der Sitzeinheit schließt und alles verdeckt, was die serienmäßige Heckverkleidung vorher verborgen hat.

Ein Rennheck ohne seinen unteren Teil wirkt in der Box zielstrebig und macht überall sonst Ärger. Die Unterseite eines Hecks liegt genau in dem, was der Hinterreifen aufwirbelt, und mit Split und Gummi zugesetzte Steckverbinder sind eine der häufigsten Ursachen für einen Wackelkontakt, der sich nur unter Last zeigt. Bei manchen Veranstaltungen zählt es zusätzlich für die technische Abnahme, wo freiliegende Leitungen hinter dem Fahrer eine Bemerkung wert sind.
Beide Hälften zusammen zum Lackierer
Ober- und Unterteil des Hecks treffen sich an einer sichtbaren Fuge, und an dieser Fuge fällt ein Farbunterschied auf. Carbonteile aus verschiedenen Fertigungslosen nehmen Farbe leicht unterschiedlich an, und ein Lackierer, der die eine Hälfte im März und die andere im Juli bearbeitet, bringt sie ohne Mühe nicht zur Deckung. CY20300 und CY20301 gemeinsam und im selben Durchgang zu geben, kostet nichts und beseitigt das Problem. Dasselbe gilt, wenn später eine Hälfte ersetzt wird — dann sind beide neu zu lackieren.
Reihenfolge beim Anbau
Der untere Teil kommt mit der oberen Einheit dran, vor dem Polster und bevor das Motorrad wieder auf den Rädern steht. Später montiert heißt blind durch die Sitzöffnung arbeiten — so verkantet eine Schraube im Laminat.
