Zwei Bedingungen vor allem anderen. Für dieses Rohr müssen die Soziusrasten abgebaut werden, und an einer R nineT mit Aktivkohlebehälter lässt es sich nicht montieren. Jede der beiden schließt das Teil für manche Motorräder ganz aus, und keine sieht man dem Karton an.

Hoch oder tief: zwei verschiedene Rohre
Die R nineT lässt sich mit hoch neben dem Sitz montiertem Dämpfer aufbauen oder mit tief sitzendem in der üblichen Lage. Akrapovic baut für jede Variante ein eigenes Verbindungsrohr, und sie sind nicht austauschbar.
Das hier ist das hohe. Die tiefe Fassung trägt eine andere Artikelnummer, wiegt ein Kilogramm weniger und braucht ein Drittel der Zeit, weil sie nicht über die Schwinge steigen muss.
Der Aktivkohlebehälter
Manche R nineT tragen, je nach Markt und Baujahr, einen Aktivkohlebehälter für Kraftstoffdämpfe. Wo einer verbaut ist, lässt sich dieses Rohr nicht montieren — Akrapovic sagt das unmissverständlich, und es ist eine harte Unverträglichkeit und keine schwierige Passung.
Schauen Sie vor der Bestellung unter den Sitz und am Rahmen entlang. Ein solcher Behälter ist ein Kunststoffzylinder etwa von der Größe einer Getränkedose, angeschlossen an die Tankentlüftung.
Die Soziusrasten
Sie kommen ab und kommen nicht wieder dran. An einem Motorrad, mit dem viele Besitzer gelegentlich zu zweit fahren, ist das eine echte Entscheidung und kein Detail — und sie gehört getroffen, bevor das Paket kommt.
Zugelassen, was hier ungewöhnlich ist
Ein Titan-Verbindungsrohr, das EG- und ECE-Typgenehmigung behält, ist selten. Die meisten Rohre dieses Katalogs sind Streckenteile. Dieses ist straßenlegal ohne Eintrag in die Fahrzeugpapiere, und genau das macht die Einbaubedingungen zu etwas, das man umgeht, statt davor zurückzuweichen.
Drehmoment dort, wo ein luftgekühlter Boxer lebt
Akrapovic verzeichnet 1,4 Nm mehr bei 2.750/min. Das ist bemerkenswert tief — unter dreitausend Umdrehungen, in dem Bereich, in dem BMWs luftgekühlter Twin den größten Teil seiner Arbeit leistet.
Das verzeichnete Spitzendrehmoment liegt mit 109,9 Nm unter den serienmäßigen 111 und damit niedriger statt höher. Beide Zahlen kommen vom Hersteller und stehen hier beide; die nützliche ist der Zuwachs weit unten.
Neunzig Minuten
Anderthalb Stunden, für ein Verbindungsrohr lang, und das folgt aus der Führung: Das Rohr muss hinauf und hinüber, um einen neben dem Sitz montierten Dämpfer zu erreichen. Der Abbau der Rasten gehört zu dieser Arbeit.
Ein Hinweis zu den Geräuschdaten
In Akrapovics Datensatz zu diesem Teil sind die Geräuschfelder vertauscht: Dort steht offensichtlich eine Drehzahl, wo der Dezibelwert hingehört. Gemeint ist dem Anschein nach 98 dB bei 3.875/min, und der Wert steht hier als Anhaltspunkt und nicht als gesicherte Angabe.
