Das hier ist kein Auspuff. Es ist das Stück, das einen Auspuff am Geräuschmesser vor der Einfahrt vorbeibringt, und es gibt es nur, weil die Strecken ihre Standgeräuschgrenzen weiter senken, während Rennanlagen weiter lauter werden.

Was es ersetzt und was es braucht
Das Verbindungsrohr ist der Abschnitt zwischen Krümmer und Dämpfer. Akrapovics Rennanlagen für die S 1000 RR — die Evolution Line S-B10E10-APLT/1 und die Racing Line S-B10R5-APLT/1 — bringen ein eigenes mit, und dieses tritt an dessen Stelle, wenn ein leiserer Wert gebraucht wird.
Für sich allein tut es nichts. Am Motorrad muss bereits eine Akrapovic Evolution oder Racing Line sitzen, und diese Seite ist nicht als Alternative zum Kauf einer solchen Anlage zu lesen.
Der Resonator ist der ganze Zweck
Ein Resonator ist eine abgestimmte Kammer, die ein bestimmtes Frequenzband auslöscht, statt einfach den Durchfluss zu würgen. Deshalb ist es ein eigenes Stahlteil mit Volumen, und deshalb kostet es so viel wie ein Schalldämpfer.
Akrapovic nennt keinen Wert dafür, um wie viel der Messwert sinkt, und hier wird auch keiner behauptet. Der Hersteller gibt an, dass das Standgeräusch sinkt, gemessen bei 5.500/min in eigenen Versuchen. Wer eine bestimmte Zahl treffen muss, sollte die Kombination vor der Nennung messen lassen.
Stahl, nicht Titan
Der Rest dieser Anlagen ist Titan. Dieses Teil ist Edelstahl, und das ist eine bewusste Entscheidung und keine Sparmaßnahme: Eine Resonatorkammer hat innere Struktur, die Hitzewechsel und Schwingungen jahrelang aushalten muss, und Stahl kann das besser.
Es bedeutet auch, dass das Teil schwerer ist als das Rohr, das es ersetzt. An einem Trackday ist das der Handel — ein wenig Masse gegen die Erlaubnis, überhaupt auf die Strecke zu dürfen.
Die Verkleidung sollte man prüfen
Akrapovic weist darauf hin, dass an Motorrädern mit Rennverkleidung aus dem Zubehör eine kleine Anpassung des unteren Teils nötig sein kann. Die meisten Rennmaschinen tragen GFK statt der Serienplastik, das betrifft also mehr Besitzer, als es klingt.
Es ist ein Beischnitt und kein Eingriff in die Struktur, aber man entdeckt es besser vor der ersten Sitzung als mittendrin.
Zwei Maschinen, acht Modelljahre
Das Teil deckt die S 1000 RR ab 2019 ab, als BMW den ShiftCam-Motor und den heutigen Rahmen einführte, und die danach erschienene M 1000 RR. Die Abgasführung blieb über die Baureihe gleich, eine Nummer bedient also beide.
Neuabstimmung
Zwingend, so wie für die Rennanlagen, in die dieses Teil eingesetzt wird. Volumen und Strömungsweg zwischen Krümmer und Dämpfer zu verändern verändert das, was der Motor sieht, und das Kennfeld muss davon wissen.
Zulassung
Keine. Dieses Produkt erfüllt die Abgasvorschriften für den Straßenverkehr nicht. Nur für geschlossene Rennstrecken.
