Ein zwei Kilogramm leichter Serienschalldämpfer
Yamahas Original an der R6 wiegt nur 2 kg, für eine straßenzugelassene 600er bemerkenswert wenig — die R6 war immer ein Rennmotorrad mit Licht, und die Anlage bildet das ab. Zwei Kilogramm zu halbieren ist eine kleinere absolute Ersparnis als bei den meisten Teilen dieses Katalogs.
An einem 190-kg-Motorrad ist es trotzdem ein Kilogramm hinter der Hinterachse — der Lage, in der Masse Richtungswechseln am stärksten widersteht.
Siebzehn Jahre
Yamaha hat diese R6-Generation 2008 eingeführt, 2017 die Verkleidung überarbeitet, sie 2021 aus dem europäischen Straßenverkauf genommen und als reine Streckenmaschine R6 RACE weitergeführt. Über all das hinweg ist die Dämpferaufnahme gleich geblieben.
Eine Artikelnummer deckt 2010 bis 2026 ab — bei einer im Clubsport so verbreiteten Maschine wie der R6 wirklich nützlich.
Wo das im R6-Sortiment steht
Das ist der Slip-On. Für eine Komplettanlage baut Akrapovic die Evolution Line S-Y6E9-APT und die Racing Line S-Y6R9-APT, und das Track-Day-Verbindungsrohr L-Y6SO4/TD/1 senkt bei beiden das Geräusch für Strecken mit strengen Grenzen.
Die R6 ist heute ein Streckenmotorrad
Yamaha hat die R6 2021 in Europa aus dem Straßenverkauf genommen und als R6 RACE weitergeführt — ohne Licht, ohne Spiegel, ohne Kennzeichenhalter. Fast jede R6, die noch zügig bewegt wird, ist eine Streckenmaschine, was die fehlende Straßenzulassung hier weitgehend zur Theoriefrage macht.
Ein Kilogramm, und woher es kommt
Yamahas Serienschalldämpfer wiegt 2 kg und sitzt unter dem Heck, hinter der Hinterachse. Gewicht in dieser Lage widersteht Richtungswechseln stärker als dieselbe Masse irgendwo sonst am Motorrad — deshalb lohnt sich ein einzelnes Kilogramm von dort.
Genau die Hälfte
2,0 kg serienmäßig, 1,0 kg montiert. Dass die Rechnung so glatt aufgeht, ist selten — und es sagt etwas darüber, wie wenig Überschuss Yamaha von vornherein in die Anlage der R6 gebaut hat: Das war nie eine Euro-Konformitätsbox, die man einem Rennmotorrad angeschraubt hat.
Das Standardmotorrad des Clubsports
Die R6 ist seit zwei Jahrzehnten die Vorgabe-600er in Clubrennen und Trainingstag-Fahrerlagern, und der Teilemarkt bildet das ab. Ein Slip-On mit siebzehn Jahren Passform ist kein Zufall — Akrapovic hält ihn im Katalog, weil die Maschinen weiterhin bewegt werden.
