Drei Motorräder, ein Motor
Yamahas 847-cm³-CP3-Dreizylinder trieb den Roadster MT-09, die amerikanische FZ-09 und die Retro-XSR900 an, und alle drei teilen sich die Abgasführung. Eine Anlage deckt sie von 2014 bis 2021 ab.
An einer XSR900 liest sich die Carbonhülle anders als an einer MT-09 — die Retro-Verkleidung setzt eine andere Erwartung — aber das Teil ist dasselbe.
Achteinhalb Kilogramm Serienanlage
Yamahas Original dieser Generation wiegt 8,4 kg, das meiste davon im Sammlerkasten unter dem Motor, in dem der Katalysator sitzt. Es ist eine der schwereren Serienanlagen einer Mittelklasse, und 3,8 kg davon kommen hier herunter.
Ein Einsatz liegt bei
Ein herausnehmbarer dB-Einsatz wird mitgeliefert. Eingesetzt macht er die Anlage deutlich leiser — nützlich auf einer Strecke mit Standgeräuschgrenze. Herausgenommen ist die Anlage am lautesten. Straßenlegal ist keiner der beiden Zustände.
Das Motorrad, das es am nötigsten hatte
Die MT-09 von 2014 kam mit dem Ruf einer ruppigen Gasannahme und einer weichen Mitte, und Yamaha hat drei Modelljahre daran gefeilt. Ein Halter einer frühen Maschine holt aus dieser Anlage mehr heraus als einer von 2020, weil es mehr zu beheben gab.
Carbon, nicht Titan
Akrapovic bietet diese Anlage mit Carbonhülle an. Carbon ist am Dämpferkörper die leichtere Wahl und die, die sich aus zehn Metern als Umbau liest — an einer MT-09, einem Motorrad mit fast keiner Verkleidung, ist diese Sichtbarkeit ein großer Teil des Punktes.
Der Fall XSR900
Yamahas XSR900 hüllt denselben Dreizylinder in Retro-Verkleidung mit rundem Scheinwerfer und flacher Sitzbank. Eine Carbon-Racing-Line daran ist ein bewusster Bruch der Epochen — moderner Rennwerkstoff an einer Maschine im Stil der Achtziger — und das gefällt einem oder nicht.
Mechanisch macht es keinen Unterschied. Die Anlage passt an die XSR900 ab 2016 genau wie an eine MT-09.
Passform
S-Y9R2-AFC deckt die Yamaha MT-09 und FZ-09 von 2014 bis 2021 und die XSR900 von 2016 bis 2021 ab. Die 890-cm³-Maschinen ab 2021 nehmen eine andere Anlage.
Zulassung
Keine. Dieses Produkt erfüllt die Abgasvorschriften für den Straßenverkehr nicht.
