Das hier ist das Teil, das die Akrapovic-Anlage der Monster vervollständigt. Der Slip-On S-D12SO8-RTBL lässt sich nicht allein montieren — er braucht entweder ein Verbindungsrohr oder diesen Krümmer — und die Wahl des Krümmers macht daraus eine Komplettanlage statt eines Dämpfertauschs.

Die Klappenanlage kommt heraus
Ducati verbaut an der Monster eine Abgasklappe, um Geräusch und Gemischbildung unten herum für die Homologation zu formen. Dieser Krümmer entfernt sie vollständig.
Das gehört vor die Bestellung. Der Wegfall der Klappe ist ein Teil davon, warum der Krümmer 4,8 PS findet — und ein Teil davon, warum sich die Anlage nicht typgenehmigen lässt. Die gemessenen 3,5 Nm bei 4.850/min zeigen, dass die Abgabe unten herum auch ohne sie hält; unterhalb von dreitausend wird sich der Motor aber anders verhalten als in Serie.
Monster 1200 und Monster 821
Ducatis Testastretta-Twin lief in diesen Jahren in zwei Hubräumen, und beide teilen die Krümmerführung. Ein Teil deckt die 1200 und die 821 ab, einschließlich der S- und R-Ausstattungen.
Was er allein nicht kann
Ein Krümmer ist keine vollständige Abgasanlage. An der Monster braucht der Slip-On S-D12SO8-RTBL entweder das Verbindungsrohr L-D12SO2 oder diesen Krümmer, und die beiden sind nicht gleichwertig: Das Verbindungsrohr hält die Anlage näher an der Serie, dieser Krümmer ersetzt den gesamten Weg ab den Zylinderköpfen und liefert die oben genannten Werte.
Beachten Sie außerdem: An die Monster 1200 R passt der Krümmer nicht. Steht in Ihrer Zulassungsbescheinigung 1200 R, fragen Sie uns vor der Bestellung.
Der Hitzeschild bleibt
Ducatis Serien-Hitzeschild lässt sich mit diesem Krümmer weiterverwenden — ungewöhnlich, denn die meisten Zubehörkrümmer brauchen einen eigenen. Ein optionaler Carbon-Schild von Akrapovic ist erhältlich, wenn Sie das passende Finish wollen, aber nichts zwingt zum Kauf.
An einer Monster zählt das mehr, als es klingt. Der Krümmer verläuft dicht am rechten Bein des Fahrers, und ein Motorrad ohne Schild an dieser Stelle merkt man im Stadtverkehr an einem heißen Tag.
