Die Generationen ehrlich verglichen
Der Motor von 2019/2020 liefert mit dieser Anlage mehr gemessene Leistung als der Motor ab 2024 mit seiner eigenen. Das ist keine Behauptung, das ältere Motorrad sei schneller: Die beiden wurden an verschiedenen Maschinen mit anderer Übersetzung und anderem Kennfeld gemessen, und die Spitzenleistung ist nur ein Punkt auf einer Kurve.
Was es zeigt: Das hier ist keine Behelfsanlage für ein älteres Motorrad, sondern die volle Evolution Line für ihre Generation.
Nur zwei Modelljahre
Yamaha hat die 250er 2019 und noch einmal 2021 überarbeitet, deshalb deckt diese Anlage ein schmales Fenster ab. Vor der Bestellung das Modelljahr prüfen: Ein Motorrad von 2018 nimmt S-Y2MET14-CIBNTA, eines von 2021 keine von beiden.
Nicht für die Straße
Ausschließlich geschlossene Strecken. Keine EG- oder ECE-Genehmigung, und der Einbau an einer zugelassenen WR250F entzieht dieser Zulassung die Grundlage.
Warum es überhaupt ein Zweijahresfenster gibt
Akrapovic bindet eine Teilenummer an ein Fahrwerk, nicht an einen Motor. Als Yamaha für 2021 das Federbein verschob, das Rahmenheck änderte oder den Luftfilterkasten umbaute, änderte sich die Krümmerführung mit — und eine Anlage, die an eine 2020er passt, sitzt an einer 2021er nicht, selbst wenn der Motor derselbe blieb.
Deshalb zählt das Baujahr an einem Motocrosser mehr als an einem Straßenmotorrad: Die Hersteller überarbeiten das Fahrwerk im Zwei- bis Dreijahresrhythmus, und der Auspuff gehört zu den Teilen, die sich mitbewegen.
Titan an einer Maschine, die stürzt
Titan beult, wo Stahl knickt und Aluminium reißt. An einem Motocrosser, der in einer Saison wiederholt hingelegt wird, ist dieses Verhalten vielen Fahrern mehr wert als die Gewichtsersparnis: Die Anlage verformt sich, behält ihren Gasweg und arbeitet weiter.
Außerdem läuft sie dort, wo sie am heißesten wird, bronzefarben und blau an. Das ist normal, es ist kein Schaden, und es ist der Grund, warum eine gebrauchte Titananlage so aussieht, wie sie aussieht.
Der Klang bei einer Clubveranstaltung
Akrapovic veröffentlicht für diese Anlage keinen Dezibelwert, und wir setzen hier keinen hin. Bekannt ist, dass eine vollständige Titananlage mit frischer Dämmwolle auf einem Messgerät anders steht als dieselbe Anlage nach zwei Saisons — die Variable ist das Neupacken, nicht das Rohr.
Wenn ein bestimmter Grenzwert einzuhalten ist, lautet der ehrliche Rat: das Motorrad messen lassen, statt einer Katalogzahl zu vertrauen.
Was an einem Gebrauchten zu prüfen ist
Vor der Bestellung für eine Yamaha von 2019 oder 2020 lohnt der Blick auf die Stehbolzen am Auslass. An einer Maschine, an der schon mehrere Auspuffanlagen saßen, sind sie oft gelängt — und ein Titanflansch, auf müde Bolzen gezogen, ist der Anfang einer Undichtigkeit.
