Fertigung und Materialgüte
Unter seiner kräftigen Farbe ist der SH5A genauso aufgebaut wie jedes andere Polster in der Reihe: eine dehnbare, gepolsterte Hülle, über eine bereits an einem 22-mm-Lenker festgeklemmte Querstrebe gezogen. Es trägt weder eigene Klemmen noch Schrauben, sodass Anbringen oder Abnehmen niemals die eigentliche Befestigung der Querstrebe berührt.
Sichtbarkeit und Erscheinungsbild
Eine orangefarbene Abdeckung wirkt anders als die Varianten in Schwarz oder Blau derselben Reihe, hebt sich von den meisten Tank- und Verkleidungsfarben ab statt mit ihnen zu verschmelzen. Manche Fahrer wählen sie allein deshalb, andere, weil ein auffälliges Feld nach einem Sturz im Gelände schneller zu erkennen ist, etwa beim Suchen des abgestellten Motorrads im hohen Gras. In jedem Fall ändert die Farbe nichts an der Funktion der darunterliegenden Querstrebe. Das Polster lässt sich zudem jederzeit gegen eine der drei anderen Farben austauschen, ohne die Querstrebe selbst zu lösen.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Käufer montieren den SH5A auf jede Accossato-Querstrebe mit dem 22-mm-Standard bei durchgehendem Durchmesser; kein bestimmtes Motorradmodell bestimmt die Wahl. Vor der Bestellung sollte geprüft werden, dass die Querstrebe selbst die 22-mm-Version ist, denn ein konischer Lenker benötigt die separate SK1N-Abdeckung statt dieser. Auch hier entscheidet der Rohrdurchmesser, nicht das Motorradmodell, über die richtige Wahl, die sich mit einem kurzen Blick auf das Rohr selbst treffen lässt, ohne dafür ein bestimmtes Motorradmodell nachschlagen zu müssen.
