Mit 257 mm liegt der B9N innerhalb von Accossatos konischem 28-bis-28,5-mm-Querstrebensortiment am nächsten am 255-mm-B8N, derselbe kleine Schritt wie zwischen A8N und A9N im Sortiment mit durchgehendem Durchmesser. Die zusätzlichen zwei Millimeter passen zu einem Lenker, dessen Klemmpunkte etwas weiter auseinanderliegen, als es der B8N erlaubt.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Der B9N verwendet dieselbe 28-bis-28,5-mm-Klemmbemessung wie der Rest von Accossatos konischer Querstrebenreihe, wobei jede Klemme sich in zwei Hälften um den Lenker schließt und mit zwei statt einer Schraube festgezogen wird. Der kleine Längenunterschied zum 255-mm-B8N besteht aus demselben Grund wie in der A-Serie mit durchgehendem Durchmesser: Der Klemmabstand von Lenkern fällt nicht über jedes Modell hinweg identisch aus, auf das die Querstrebe am Ende montiert wird.
Die Wahl zwischen eng beieinanderliegenden Längen
Fahrer, denen der 255-mm-B8N einen Hauch zu kurz ist oder der 265-mm-B12N etwas zu lang, finden im 257-mm-B9N die Länge dazwischen. Die eigenen Klemmpunkte des Lenkers vor der Bestellung zu messen, bleibt der einzig verlässliche Weg, zwischen so eng beieinanderliegenden Längen zu wählen, statt sich allein auf das Motorradmodell zu verlassen. Gerade bei einer Differenz von nur zwei Millimetern macht diese Kontrolle den Unterschied zwischen einem sauberen Sitz und einem klemmenden Bügel, der sich später nur mühsam korrigieren lässt.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato verkauft den B9N als universelle Querstrebe, nicht verknüpft mit benannten Motorrädern. Die Spanne zwischen den vorgesehenen Klemmpunkten sollte vor der Bestellung gemessen und mit dem 255-mm-B8N und dem 265-mm-B12N neben dem B9N verglichen werden, und bestätigt werden, dass der Lenker dem konischen 28-bis-28,5-mm-Typ entspricht. So lässt sich die am besten passende Länge sicher bestimmen.
Straßenzulassung
Accossato dokumentiert für den B9N keine ABE und kein Teilezertifikat; die Zulassungsregeln sind länderabhängig – vor dem Einsatz auf der Straße die örtlichen Vorschriften prüfen.
