Der Herbst kann auf einer FZ8 eine schöne Jahreszeit sein: ruhige Straßen, tief stehende Sonne, die letzten warmen Nachmittage. Es ist aber auch die Jahreszeit, in der der Vorderreifen am wenigsten Haftung zur Verfügung hat. Kalter Asphalt, feuchte Stellen unter den Bäumen und nasses Laub in den Kurven verlangen alle nach einer Vorderradbremse, die sich behutsam einsetzen lässt. Der Accossato EDF016 ist ein Bremshebel für die FZ8 von 2011 bis 2015, aus Aluminium gefräst und am originalen Bremszylinder montiert, mit einer Griffweite, die Sie auf die Handschuhe einstellen können, die die Jahreszeit gerade verlangt.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato fräst den EDF016 aus massivem Aluminium und eloxiert ihn, schwarz an der Nabe und in einer von sieben Farben entlang des Blatts. Der Griffweiten-Einsteller sitzt in der Nabe neben dem Drehpunkt, abseits nasser Handschuhe. Weil das Blatt ein einziges starres Stück ist, erzeugt ein leichter Zug eine ebenso leichte Reaktion am Bremszylinder, ohne dass ein Gelenk den ersten Teil der Bewegung schluckt. Regen und Spritzwasser schaden der eloxierten Oberfläche nicht, und ein Wisch mit einem feuchten Tuch entfernt den Schmutz einer Herbstfahrt.
Kalte Reifen und Herbstlaub
Ein Reifen braucht an einem kalten Herbstmorgen länger, um eine Temperatur zu erreichen, bei der er gut haftet, und eine Stelle mit nassem Laub bietet kaum Haftung. Keine der beiden Situationen verlangt weniger Bremsen, aber beide verlangen ein Bremsen, das sanft beginnt: einen ersten Zug, der den Vorderreifen allmählich belastet, bevor die volle Kraft einsetzt. Dieser erste Zug hängt stark davon ab, wie die Finger auf den Hebel treffen. Mit dicken Herbsthandschuhen kann ein auf den Sommer eingestelltes Blatt zu weit außen stehen, sodass die Fingerspitzen es nur erwischen und der Druck ruckartig einsetzt. Holen Sie die Griffweite beim Wechsel der Jahreszeit heran, bis das Blatt mit Ihren warmen Handschuhen unter der Mitte Ihrer Finger liegt. An der FZ8 kommt das Standardblatt dem Originalgefühl am nächsten, während das lange behandschuhten Fingern mehr zum Greifen gibt. Und wo Laub eine Kurve bedeckt, erledigen Sie das Bremsen auf der Geraden davor.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Auf Accossatos Liste deckt der EDF016 die FZ8 von 2011 bis 2015 in drei Formen ab: die FZ8, die unverkleidete FZ8 N und die halbverkleidete FZ8 S. Er tritt an die Stelle des Serienhebels am originalen Bremszylinder. Auf der Kupplungsseite ist für dieselben Jahre der ESY688 angegeben.
Straßenzulassung
Für den EDF016 liegt keine deutsche ABE vor, und er wird nur für den Rennstreckeneinsatz angeboten.
