Die Crosstourer übernahm den V4 der VFR1200F und baute um ihn herum eine hochbeinige Reiseenduro mit Kardanantrieb, ein Motorrad, um einen Kontinent in aller Ruhe zu durchqueren. Wer Gebirge durchquert, fährt meist durch Tunnel: dunkel nach grellem Sonnenschein, am Portal manchmal feucht, am anderen Ende oft mit Stau. Accossatos EDF018 ist ein CNC-gefräster Aluminium-Bremshebel für die Crosstourer, gelistet von 2013 bis 2018, mit einer Griffweite, die Sie so einstellen können, dass die Bremse unter Ihren Fingerspitzen liegt, wenn das Licht plötzlich wechselt.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato fräst den EDF018 aus massivem Aluminium und eloxiert ihn zweifarbig: schwarz für die Nabe, die Drehpunkt und Griffweiteneinsteller aufnimmt, und in der Farbe Ihrer Wahl für das Blatt. Ein gefräster Hebel behält auf seiner Länge einen gleichmäßigen Querschnitt, und die Eloxaloberfläche behält ihre Farbe über Jahre voller Reisewetter. Das Blatt ist starr und durchgehend, ohne Gelenk, sodass sich der Hebel vom ersten bis zum letzten Tag einer Reise gleich anfühlt.
Rein in den Tunnel, raus aus dem Tunnel
Ein oder zwei Sekunden nach der Einfahrt in einen Tunnel aus hellem Tageslicht sehen die Augen sehr wenig. Erfahrene Fahrer werden deshalb vor dem Portal langsamer und nicht erst darin, und sie halten etwas mehr Abstand zum Vordermann. Die Fahrbahn an der Einfahrt kann nass oder staubig sein, wo Wasser vom Fels läuft, deshalb ist jedes Bremsen sanft und abgeschlossen, bevor das Motorrad dort ankommt. Die Ausfahrt bringt dasselbe in umgekehrter Richtung, mit Blendung und manchmal einer Windböe. Ein schweres Motorrad wie die Crosstourer fühlt sich in diesen Momenten ruhig an, doch es ist auf eine Vorderradbremse angewiesen, die Sie ohne Hinsehen und ohne Suchen betätigen können. Stellen Sie den EDF018 so ein, dass Ihre Finger das Blatt aus ihrer entspannten Position am Griff finden, ohne eine Lücke schließen zu müssen. Das Standardblatt passt zu den meisten Fahrern auf einem Reisemotorrad. Für dicke Tourenhandschuhe bietet das lange Blatt mehr Hebelwirkung und Platz für die ganze Hand.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato führt den EDF018 für die VFR1200X Crosstourer von 2013 bis 2018 und nennt die DCT-Version für 2014 bis 2018. Da die Bremse an beiden gleich betätigt wird, dient dieser Hebel für beide Getriebe. Der Kupplungshebel ESH033 ist für die Crosstourer mit Schaltgetriebe über denselben Zeitraum von 2013 bis 2018 gelistet.
Straßenzulassung
Accossato hat für den EDF018 keine deutsche ABE dokumentiert, deshalb wird der Hebel für den Einsatz auf der Rennstrecke verkauft.
