Eine gute Landstraße ist auf einer Multistrada 1200 S eine Folge von Kurven in gleichmäßigem Rhythmus, und dieser Rhythmus hängt davon ab, wie Sie in jede einzelne hineinfahren. Viele Fahrer nehmen etwas Vorderradbremse über den Einlenkpunkt hinaus mit und lösen sie, während sich das Motorrad in Schräglage legt, eine Technik, die feine Kontrolle über die Fingerspitzen verlangt. Der Accossato EDF099 ist ein gefräster Aluminium-Bremshebel für die Multistrada 1200 S von 2010 bis 2020. Seine Griffweite ist einstellbar, und sein Blatt gibt es kurz, in Standardlänge oder lang, sodass sich der Hebel auf diese Fahrweise einstellen lässt.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato gießt diesen Hebel nicht, sondern fräst ihn aus Aluminium, was den Querschnitt gleichmäßig und die Flächen präzise hält. Nach dem Fräsen folgt das Eloxieren, schwarz für die Nabe und in Ihrer Wunschfarbe für das Blatt. Zwischen Nabe und Spitze hat das Blatt kein Gelenk. Das ist für die unten beschriebene Art zu bremsen wichtig, denn jedes Spiel in einem Hebel zeigt sich zuerst ganz am Anfang seines Wegs, genau dort, wo die Feinkontrolle stattfindet.
Trail-Braking auf der Landstraße
Trail-Braking ist nicht der Rennstrecke vorbehalten. Auf der Straße bedeutet es schlicht, die Bremse beim Einlenken nicht auf einmal loszulassen, sondern sie sanft zu lösen, während das Motorrad Schräglage aufnimmt. Der Vorderreifen bleibt belastet, die Lenkung bleibt ruhig, und das Motorrad hält eine engere Linie. Die ganze Technik spielt sich auf den ersten Millimetern des Hebelwegs ab, und sie gelingt viel leichter, wenn das Blatt genau unter Ihren Fingerspitzen liegt.
Auf einem aufrechten Motorrad wie der 1200 S sind die Handgelenke ziemlich gerade, der Hebel lässt sich also recht nah heranholen, ohne dass sich die Hand auf dem Griff verdrehen muss. Stellen Sie die Griffweite so ein, dass zwei Finger auf dem Blatt liegen können, während die anderen beiden den Griff halten. Üben Sie dann auf einer vertrauten Straße, bremsen Sie etwas früher als gewohnt und lösen Sie die Bremse langsam in die Kurve hinein. Das kurze Blatt, gefertigt in Blau, Grün, Orange, Gold und Silber, passt zu diesem Stil mit zwei Fingern; das Standardblatt ist die Allround-Alternative.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato führt den EDF099 für die Multistrada 1200 S von 2010 bis 2020 und nennt zusätzlich die S Touring von 2013, die S GT von 2013 und 2014 sowie die S Pikes Peak von 2013 bis 2017. An allen ersetzt er den originalen Handbremshebel. Für die Kupplungsseite bietet Accossato den ESH011 für die Multistrada 1200 S an.
Straßenzulassung
Dieser Hebel hat keine dokumentierte deutsche ABE und wird deshalb für die Rennstrecke verkauft.
