Ein Reisemotorrad fährt bei jedem Wetter, das die Tour mit sich bringt, und die Hyperstrada 939 ist oft auch an Tagen unterwegs, an denen sich der Himmel grau färbt. Regen verändert an der Vorderradbremse zweierlei: Die Haftung unter dem Reifen sinkt, und die Handschuhe werden dicker, oft mit harten Knöchelprotektoren, die an einen für den Sommer nah eingestellten Hebel stoßen können. Der Accossato EDB012 ist ein aus Aluminium gefräster Handbremshebel für die Hyperstrada 939 von 2016 bis 2018, und sein Abstand zum Griff lässt sich an die Handschuhe des Tages anpassen.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato fräst den EDB012 aus massivem Aluminium und eloxiert das Ergebnis. Diese Behandlung zählt an einem Motorrad, das auch bei Nässe gefahren wird, denn die entstehende Oxidschicht versiegelt das Aluminium gegen Wasser und verhindert, dass der Hebel stumpf und kreidig wird, wie es bei unbehandeltem Leichtmetall passieren kann. Rund um den Drehpunkt ist die Oberfläche immer schwarz, und dort wird auch die Griffweite eingestellt; das Blatt wird nach Ihrer Bestellung eingefärbt. Es ist ein starrer Hebel, ein Stück von Ende zu Ende, ohne Klappgelenk, dessen Toleranzen sich ändern könnten, sobald Schmutz und Wasser eindringen.
Regen, Handschuhe und Knöchelschutz
Wasserdichte Handschuhe sind dick, und viele haben harte Protektoren über den Knöcheln. Ist der Hebel für dünne Handschuhe nah eingestellt, können diese Protektoren das Blatt berühren, bevor Sie bremsen wollen, oder zu wenig Platz lassen, um ihn ganz zu ziehen. An der Hyperstrada 939 ist das in einem Moment behoben: Stellen Sie das Blatt mit dem Einsteller weiter nach außen, bis die Finger im Handschuh darauf liegen und die Knöchel frei bleiben.
Auf nassen Straßen sollte das Bremsen selbst sanfter und allmählicher sein, und ein Hebel im richtigen Abstand macht es leichter, den Druck in kleinen Schritten aufzubauen statt mit einem einzigen Zug. Wer bei Nässe gern die ganze Hand nimmt, bevorzugt vielleicht das lange Blatt, gefertigt in Blau, Gold, Grün und Orange.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Für die Hyperstrada 939 nennt Accossato 2016 bis 2018 und führt das Modelljahr 2018 gesondert auf. Der Kupplungshebel ESD082 ist sein Gegenstück auf der linken Seite für dieselben Jahre. Besitzer der früheren Hyperstrada 821 finden für ihr Motorrad eine eigene Produktseite.
Straßenzulassung
Für deutsche Straßen gibt es keine dokumentierte ABE, deshalb wird dieser Hebel als Rennstreckenteil geführt.
