Die ersten R nineT kamen 2014 zu ihren Besitzern, und viele davon werden heute so gefahren wie klassische Motorräder: an trockenen Tagen, mit langen Pausen, solange Salz auf den Straßen liegt. Eine Maschine, die monatelang steht, wird danach beurteilt, wie würdevoll ihre Teile altern. Accossatos EDB077, ein aus Aluminium gefräster Bremshebel für die R nineT von 2014 bis 2016, hat eine einstellbare Griffweite und eine Eloxaloberfläche, die für ihre Farbe nicht auf Lack angewiesen ist.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato fräst den EDB077 aus einem massiven Aluminiumrohling und eloxiert ihn dann, und dieser letzte Schritt zählt an einem Motorrad, das den Winter aussetzt. Das Eloxieren wandelt die äußere Schicht des Aluminiums in ein hartes Oxid um, das die Farbe trägt, es gibt also keine Lackschicht, die sich an einer Kante lösen oder darunter Blasen werfen könnte. Die Nabe ist schwarz, welche Blattfarbe Sie auch bestellen, und sie nimmt den Griffweiteneinsteller neben dem Drehpunkt auf. Im Verlauf des Blatts gibt es überhaupt kein Gelenk und damit auch kein Klappgelenk, das in monatelanger kalter Garage schwergängig werden könnte.
Vor und nach der Winterpause
Wenn die R nineT eingelagert wird, schenken Sie dem Bremshebel eine Minute Aufmerksamkeit. Wischen Sie Straßenschmutz und Feuchtigkeit ab, bevor die Abdeckung darüberkommt, denn Schmutz, der auf irgendeinem Metall bleibt, hält monatelang Wasser daran fest. Eloxiertes Aluminium verträgt das weit besser als ein lackiertes Teil, sieht im Frühjahr aber trotzdem besser aus, wenn es sauber weggestellt wurde. Ziehen Sie vor der ersten Fahrt der neuen Saison den Hebel am stehenden Motorrad, achten Sie auf einen festen Druckpunkt und prüfen Sie, ob das Bremslicht reagiert, sobald sich das Blatt bewegt. Die ersten Fahrten im Frühjahr verlangen oft dickere Handschuhe, deshalb kann es bei den ersten kalten Ausfahrten helfen, das Blatt um eine Stufe nach außen zu stellen.
Zwei Bremshebel für die frühen Jahre
Accossato führt für die R nineT von 2014 bis 2016 zwei Bremshebel: diesen EDB077 und den EDB001, der bis zu den Motorrädern von 2022 reicht. Beide kommen mit derselben schwarzen Nabe, denselben sieben Farben und denselben drei Längen. Die Liste erklärt nicht, worin sie sich unterscheiden, halten Sie deshalb vor der Bestellung Ihren Originalhebel neben die Bilder beider Hebel und wählen Sie die Form, die passt.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Der EDB077 ist nur für die R nineT von 2014 bis 2016 gelistet; Motorräder ab 2017 deckt der EDB001 ab. Die Kupplungsseite der frühen Motorräder lässt sich mit dem ESC075 ergänzen, der für dieselben drei Jahre genannt ist, oder mit dem ESB002, den Accossato für die R nineT von 2014 bis 2022 angibt.
Straßenzulassung
Für diesen Hebel ist keine deutsche ABE dokumentiert; wir bieten ihn deshalb ausschließlich für den Rennstreckeneinsatz an.
