Leoncino heißt kleiner Löwe, und die Benelli Leoncino 500 trägt einen auf ihrem vorderen Kotflügel, eine Anspielung auf eine Benelli der 1950er-Jahre. Unter dem Retro-Scrambler-Design stecken ein Reihenzweizylinder und ein handliches Fahrwerk, das sich in der Stadt zu Hause fühlt. Stadtverkehr heißt bremsen: oft, unerwartet und kurzfristig. Der Accossato EDF016 ersetzt den Handbremshebel der Leoncino durch einen CNC-gefrästen Aluminiumhebel für den originalen Bremszylinder mit einstellbarer Griffweite und ist für 2017 bis 2020 geführt.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Das Eloxieren eines Hebels umfasst nach dem Fräsen mehrere Schritte. Der EDF016 wird zuerst auf CNC-Maschinen aus massivem Aluminium gefräst. Das fertige Teil wird dann gereinigt und in ein Elektrolytbad gelegt, in dem auf seiner Oberfläche eine Oxidschicht wächst. Diese Schicht nimmt die Farbe auf, die anschließend darin versiegelt wird. Bei diesem Hebel ergibt das eine schwarze Nabe, in der Drehpunkt und Griffweiten-Einsteller sitzen, und ein Blatt in der bestellten Farbe. Das Blatt ist ein einziges starres Stück ohne Klappgelenk.
Die Tür, die aufgeht
Die klassische Gefahr in der Stadt ist nicht das Auto vor Ihnen, sondern das, das neben Ihnen parkt. Jemand öffnet die Tür, ohne zu schauen, ein Fußgänger tritt zwischen zwei Transportern hervor, ein Lieferfahrer fährt vom Straßenrand los. Nichts davon kündigt sich lange an, und der einzige echte Schutz ist eine Mischung aus Abstand und Bereitschaft: Halten Sie, wo es geht, eine Türbreite Abstand zu parkenden Autos, und haben Sie die Finger am Hebel, wo es nicht geht. Wer mit zwei Fingern leicht auf dem Blatt fährt, verkürzt die Reaktionszeit deutlich, aber nur, wenn der Hebel dort sitzt, wo diese Finger ohne Anstrengung liegen können. Mit dem Einsteller des EDF016 holen Sie ihn nah genug heran, um ihn eine ganze Straße voller parkender Autos lang bequem in Bereitschaft zu halten. Auf der Leoncino 500, deren aufrechte Sitzposition einen guten Blick über Autodächer bietet, geht es in der Stadt genau darum: früh sehen und früh bremsbereit sein.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato führt den EDF016 für die Leoncino 500 von 2017 bis 2020, montiert am originalen Bremszylinder. Der Kupplungshebel aus derselben Reihe, der ESD037, ist für die Leoncino 500 nur im Jahr 2017 geführt. Für die späteren Modelljahre ist dieser Bremshebel das Accossato-Teil, das zur Verfügung steht.
Straßenzulassung
Weil für den EDF016 keine deutsche ABE dokumentiert ist, verkaufen wir ihn für den Einsatz auf der Rennstrecke.
