Eine große Tour auf einer Multistrada 1200 beginnt meist Monate vor der Abfahrt, mit Karten, Fährbuchungen und einer Liste dessen, was das Motorrad braucht. Arbeiten an der Bremse landen oft auf dieser Liste, und ihr Zeitpunkt zählt mehr, als die meisten Fahrer denken. Eine Arbeit am Abend vor der Abreise lässt keine Zeit, ein kleines Problem zu entdecken; dieselbe Arbeit ein paar Wochen früher schon. Für den vorderen Bremsflüssigkeitsbehälter der Multistrada 1200 führt Accossato den TS003 über die Jahre 2010 bis 2017, einen eloxierten Aluminiumdeckel, auf CNC-Maschinen gefertigt.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Auf CNC-Maschinen aus Aluminium gefräst, erhält der TS003 seine Farbe durch das Eloxieren: blau, grün, schwarz, orange, rot, silber oder gold. Accossato legt ihn für den originalen vorderen Behälter jedes Motorrads seiner Liste aus, sodass die Multistrada 1200 ihren serienmäßigen Hauptbremszylinder, ihre Leitungen und alles Übrige in der Anlage behält. Prüfen Sie beim Deckelwechsel die Dichtung oder Membran unter dem alten Deckel. Ist sie hart geworden oder gerissen, ersetzen Sie sie, bevor der Behälter verschlossen wird.
Ein paar Wochen vor der Abreise
Planen Sie die Bremsarbeiten drei oder vier Wochen vor der Reise ein. Das lässt Zeit für gewöhnliche Ausfahrten, und die bringen alles ans Licht, was nicht ganz stimmt: ein Hebel, der sich anders anfühlt, eine Feuchtigkeitsspur am Behälter, ein Geräusch von der Bremse. Ist die Flüssigkeit laut Bedienungsanleitung zur Erneuerung fällig, lassen Sie das im selben Termin erledigen; ein neuer Deckel ersetzt das nicht, und ein schwer beladenes Reisemotorrad braucht frische Flüssigkeit. Drehen Sie für den TS003 selbst den Lenker der Multistrada 1200, bis der Behälter waagerecht steht, decken Sie Tank und Verkleidung mit einem dicken Tuch ab und halten Sie einen Behälter mit Wasser bereit, denn Bremsflüssigkeit greift Lack an und jeder Spritzer muss sofort abgespült werden. Öffnen Sie den Behälter nur so lange, wie die Arbeit es verlangt, da die Flüssigkeit Feuchtigkeit aus der Luft zieht. Prüfen Sie, ob der Stand zwischen den Linien liegt, setzen Sie den Deckel auf und ziehen Sie ihn mit leichter Hand an, und drücken Sie dann vor der Fahrt mehrmals den Hebel. Danach fahren Sie das Motorrad einfach ein paar Wochen, mit einem kurzen Blick auf den Behälter nach jeder Ausfahrt. Wenn die Koffer aufkommen, hat sich die Bremse auf vertrauten Straßen bewährt.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Über die Jahre 2010 bis 2017 nennt die Liste von Accossato den TS003 für den vorderen Behälter der Multistrada 1200, mit eigenen Einträgen für ABS-Modelle, die Touring und das Sport Pack, als Ersatz für den Deckel am serienmäßigen Behälter. Bei Inter-Pace ist dasselbe Teil für die Multistrada 1200 Enduro, die Monster 1200 und die Aprilia RSV4 katalogisiert. Accossato bietet für dieses Motorrad außerdem den Öldeckel FP004 und den Kupplungsdeckel FP007 an; alle drei sind in blau, schwarz, orange, rot, silber und gold erhältlich.
